About this listen

Sam Vimes is a man on the run.

Yesterday he was a duke, a chief of police and the ambassador to the mysterious, fat-rich country of Uberwald.

Now he has nothing but his native wit and the gloomy trousers of Uncle Vanya (don't ask). It's snowing. It's freezing. And if he can't make it through the forest to civilization there's going to be a terrible war.

But there are monsters on his trail. They're bright. They're fast. They're werewolves - and they're catching up. Sam Vimes is out of time, out of luck and already out of breath . . .

Terry Pratchett continues the exploits of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch with another instalment of Sam Vimes' adventures. This time there is trouble in Uberwald and the City Watch is drawn into a succession plot to determine the leader of the Low King of the Dwarves. Vampires, Warewolves and Igors, oh my!
Wonderfully narrated this audiobook has a great sense of irony throughout and is interesting from start to finish, another Discworld must read.

The book itself is great, the narrator himself is good but the combination doesn't work

Wrong narrator for the book

The narrator lapses in to whispers about half the time that are impossible to hear without changing the volume then immediately changing it back when he goes back to speaking normally. Really terrible recording.

Poor sound quality
