Summary
Shane
I've been in love with Zeke for years. He's my best friend—the man of my dreams—but I'm afraid to confess my feelings. What's more, if I'm with Zeke, I could lose everything I've worked for. I don't want to have to choose between my family and Zeke or the career I've been working towards for the past decade. I had resolved to keep my feelings to myself, but too much alcohol loosened my lips and the truth came tumbling out. I fear my drunken admission will ruin everything.
Zeke
There's something coming for the Devil's Mayhem that has the potential to bring the club to its knees. Is now the best time to consider a future with Shane? He's my best friend and has been for years, but that doesn't mean I haven't taken notice of him. Mixing business and pleasure is a bad idea, right? Especially when someone is after the MC, intent on seeing our downfall.
The Enforcer is a best friends to lovers, interracial dating, opposites attract, motorcycle club book. It contains dark themes, murder, violence, high heat, and a wonderful HEA. It is book two in the Devil's Mayhem MC series. It can be listened to as a standalone, but is best enjoyed after The Convict.

I’m in the strange position of quite liking a book which I know has some major faults. Other than the unconvincing instalove romance, there wasn’t really much of a plot, and the action, the adrenaline, and the ‘dark themes’ were minimal. I could excuse Shane for being touchy-feely, but for a violent murderous enforcer like Zeke to plan soppy dates and talk about his feelings was very unbelievable. Despite all that, I liked Shane and Zeke as characters and I enjoyed their steamy connection, which is pretty much all you can ask for in a romance. I also liked the interracial / friends-to-lovers / opposite-attract tropes. Like the first book (The Convict), be warned that there is a spontaneous MMM+ scene, if that’s not your thing. I am hooked on these characters so I’ll definitely check out book 3 (The Prez). 🎧 Another great audio. Tor Thom’s deep voice really suited Zeke, while Michael Gallagher fitted Shane to a tee!
Flawed but steamy & likeable story!
