Publisher's Summary

Siege of Terra Book 8, Part 2

Volume II picks up right where the first left off, with cataclysmic events building up to an epic conclusion that will shake the very galaxy to its core.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

The final battle aboard the Warmaster’s flagship has begun in earnest, as Sanguinius defies his fate and the Dark Gods in an attempt to end his brother’s life, and the war along with it.

THE STORY

Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor.

With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

But at the whim of a Warmaster fallen so far from grace, the Dark Gods will not make Sanguinius’ task easy. As the war edges towards its explosive, bloody conclusion, events are about to unfold that could either save humanity or plunge it headlong into an eternity of darkness.

End Game

Reaching the final culmination from all the betrayal, fratride and genocide of the Heresy. This book contains rapid large steps towards the end game. The Emperors Full Might. Horus' dark depths. The death of almost all. The Dark King. The Death of a Primarch. Excellently written and narrated. Unmissable.

the story was good but it felt drawn-out. lots of side stories that didn't feel relevant so was difficult to stay invested. Narration was outstanding

a glorious death

An appropriately awesome tale. Beautiful, stringent, and elegant, Abnet has delivered another classic. Gorgeously detailed, it's a love letter to fans of this epic saga.

The end and soon to be finished

I’ve enjoyed the siege of terra series thus far and this addition is bringing together a number of story arcs in to a climactic end. I’m excited and sad for vol 3, and would much more prefer a few more novellas or even full books about the siege before the end. I like Dan A, whom is extremely talented, though the strength of the HH and SoT is the variety of writers and Dan A. doing the three volumes seems unbalanced compared to the previous iterations of the story. Still a bloody good book and a must listen. Lastly, Jonathan Keeble - amazing performance as always.

Breathtaking

An engrossing and unexpected turn in the grand finale of the Horus Heresy. The clocks may have run out, but the surprises have not.
