Publisher's Summary

Welcome to the Gun Show!

The top 10 list is populated. The sponsorship program is open. The difficulty is ramping up. The first three floors were nothing compared to what Carl and Donut now face.

The Iron Tangle. An impossibly complicated subway system built out of the world's subterranean railway systems, all combined and then tied together into a knot. Up is down. Down is up. Close is far. The cars are filled with monsters, the railway stations are less than safe, and the exit is always just a few stops away.

But there is hope. For the first time, the crawlers are all working together. The loot is better than ever. And the secret to unraveling it all may be hidden in the pages of a seemingly useless book.

Welcome, crawlers. Welcome to the fourth floor of the dungeon.

I love these books, my current favourite

What a great adventure, so we’ll written and narrated. Can’t wait for the next audiobook in the series.

Still rockin' it

So, let's get this out of the way first. DCC#3 (in my opinion) isn't quite as good as the first two books. But that said, it's still a clear and easy 5 stars and better than another other litrpg / gamelit / audiobook of any genre that I've listened to this year...with the exception of the first two books.

Why didn't I like book 3 as much? It's... confusing. Like super confusing, to the point that if you read the digital (non-audio) version of the book the author has a note at the start which literally warns its readers about as much, telling them to not stress about trying to remember layouts as the floor is deliberately meant to be confusing. Which is fine I guess, but that still doesn't translate well to audiobooks where you can't flip back and forth between pages when you want to clarify something mentioned earlier. Really, I would have preferred that the book just be confusing to the MC but /not/ the reader, full stop.

Anyway, a minor issue in the scheme of things. The book is still gloriously great. If you've read / listened to the first two books, you'll still love this one. If you haven't, you should go back and start at book one (don't jump in here) as there are lots of references to previous events and no summary at the start. I still had laugh out loud moments (make sure you listen to the end credits!) and it was still a joy to join the characters on their journey. I've said it before and I'll say it again - this series is fast becoming one of the greats in the genre. Well done Mr Dinniman & Mr Hays. Well done.

I just want more!

I am so hooked on this series. I also enjoy the development of the main characters and their relationships, while maintaining a balance of action and originality, with a few creative suprises. The narration is great and I got lost it the story. This is the hallmark of decent narration.

Great addition

This was a great addition to the series with more fun characters more magic and more madness. Matt Dinniman does a great job bringing the series to life with more emotional turmoil and action for our characters and MC. Jeff Hays dose a great job with the voices bringing out the turmoil and making the action more interesting for the MC and his Friends. Overall 15/15 nice one

Love it! Twisted, wicked, hilarious, nefarious

The voice actors are amazing and they come together to bring this alive like no series I’ve listened to. Matt Dinniman is honestly a celestial tier reward box

Solid Entry - Shaky Setting

There were a smattering of good moments in this entry and narration was on point as usual. The overly complex setting detracted from the story somewhat however.

Witty humour and charming characters

Very enjoyable listen. Matt Dinniman’s writing is engaging and well crafted, and Jeff Hays does an incredible narration job.

Perfect escapism for a run

Loved the story, didn’t love the new Mordykie voice, but it goes with the character.
