About this listen

In self-exile on the remote island of Tasmania, Taylor Bridges is the only ranger of an isolated national park, its town slowly drowning beneath the rising waters of the new dam project.

Still struggling with the guilt of losing his daughter, Claire, Taylor is a chronic sleepwalker. So, when another little girl goes missing in his park a year to the day of his own child’s unsolved disappearance, Taylor’s sense of redemption finds him wading in over his head to find her.

Critic Reviews

"A riveting tale of deception and desperation; superb suspense...which carries an echo of the great novelist [Stephen King] himself." ( ABC Radio)

The characters were developed so well and so well read. I loved the hint of supernatural and also the side story about the tassie tigers. all in all, a very good read.

Absolutely riveting

Enjoyable mystery set in the cold wilds of Tasmania. A touch of supernatural and the possible sighting of the Tasmanian tiger adds intrigue. A very satisfying ending has me looking forward to the other books in the series.

I hope the author is writing from what their research not experience. Interesting mystery, I would describe the read as spiritual rather than a thriller. Tasmania was an excellent setting for this type of story, similar to places like the Hebrides

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and kept me hoping Claire would finally be found. Some of characters are typical Australians and just the thought that Tasmanian Tigers were not extinct put a smile on my face. I look forward to listening to more books by this author. Enjoy your listen!
