a dark tale of religious conflict

how completely Salvatore turns the tables on our adventurers and depicts corruption and degradation, still keeping it child friendly. a fitting end to the saga

Speechless

Could not stop listening as every chapter was filled with excitment. Cannot believe how beautiful and thought provoking this book was. I take my hat off to R.A. Salvatore

Choppy and too quickly resolved

This was an anti-climactic ending to the series. Not at all what I was expecting. Too short and tried to fit in too many stories. I love Salvatore, but this was not one of his best.

Fun and predictable

Many of the twists are formulaic and some of the delivery is cliche (I personally listened to most of it at 1.25x speed), but it was a strong conclusion to the series, a fun adventure and, overall, a well written tale.

Good back story

I really liked getting the back stories on some of the characters from the world of Drizzt Do'urden and Victor Bevine always does a great job of bringing Salvatore's characters to life.

Awesome story.

This is perhaps the best story i've ever heard. I found myself at times smiling, laughing, scowling, clenching fists, hoping, praying and yelling in my mine, trying to warn the heroes. And at times tearing up feeling real sorrow over heroes meeting their end. This story will catch up in it in a way, you've never known before. Both R. A. Salvatore and Victor Bavine tell a tail that truly transports you to another reality and you're richer for it.
