Publisher's Summary

Do you feel like it's time to start taking better care of yourself?

Do you want to look and feel better?

If you ask my dad what "clean eating" is, he'll act confused and tell you it probably means not to eat things off the floor. What do you think of when you hear "clean eating"? Do you imagine some locally grown organic lettuce leaves sitting sadly on a plate? Do you think of green juice or health supplements? Yoga and detox diets?

Well, you won't find any of that in this book. Instead, we're going to focus on healthy and more realistic ways of eating - common sense that isn't all that common anymore. Clean eating is a lifestyle and an attitude more than it is a set of forbidden foods. Though some might disagree, you can eat meat, wheat, and dairy and still have a "clean" diet, and you most certainly don't need to spend a lot of money on "superfoods".

During this challenge, you'll try to let go of the mythical ideal diet; we will focus on continuous improvement rather than perfection. And, most importantly, flexibility and joy rather than deprivation.

The only one who knows if a diet is good for you or not is your own body. So ask it! During the 21 days of the challenge, we'll look at opportunities to clear away foods that are hindering your health and replace them with better ones.

You will be amazed by how much impact healthy eating will have on your overall well-being and the way you look.

The 21-Day Clean Eating Challenge will help you to:

  • Make better food choices throughout the day
  • Wake up every morning feeling refreshed and well rested
  • Normalize blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and digestion
  • And more!

21 days to change

I can recommend this challenge to everyone! My self discipline is non existent, so I initially didn't intend to do the challenge, just listen to it as inspiration. However, the author has taken into account that developing new habits is a gradual process and instead of 21 full days of clean eating (which I feared), each new day actually builds upon the previous one. Every day gives you a small and realistic task, it was actually fun :) For me a few healthy habits have become part of my daily routine, others didn't stick. Yet! I plan to do the challenge once again after my birthday next week.

...not to eat things off the floor

Which scene was your favorite?

"If you ask my dad what "clean eating" is, he'll act confused and tell you it probably means not to eat things off the floor" - This made me laugh. Anyway, I like how the author used a very approachable and friendly tone towards the end of the book. I'm on the third day of this 21-day clean eating diet and although it seems too early for me to judge, this is actually working well for me. It's kind of hard especially because of the "bad food" temptations everywhere I go but I'm trying to stay focus and motivated. So far, so good.

five stars!

I found this book easy to listen to and entertaining. The book is not too long so you should be able to get through it quickly - or take your time with each chapter to get the most out of the author's advice. Listen to a chapter and let it marinate in your mind before moving on. I liked Francie Wyck's style of narration. Very nice series.

Short, simple and clear, loved it!

A useful guide on clean eating and, most importantly for me, how to actually make it part of my lifestyle without the need for daily willpower. Recommended!!

3-week commitment

This is the most helpful clean eating book I've come across. I like the 3-week commitment; it's realistic and kept me motivated for the duration of the challenge. Definitely recommended!

worth a read

When reading these type of books, I always feel like you had to do what works for you. If you can find a small change that will better your life then it was worth it. All the tips are not going to work for everyone and it's too overwhelming to try and implement all of them. I found a few things that worked for me and make it worth the read.

This has been the most logical and easy to list...

This has been the most logical and easy to listen to "Self-Help" book I have ever read. What I like most about this book is that it gives you the tools to actually implement the habits and theory into practice. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

good advice

I've read a lot of books on the topic and this is by far the most inclusive and to the point clean eating book out there. Each chapter gave me nuggets of information and ideas that I have already started incorporating into my everyday life.

The narration by Francie Wyck was pleasant to listen to.
