Publisher's Summary

Private detective Adrian Elias knows what trouble looks like, and ruthless mobster and lion shifter Sage Tamir was just that, with a capital "T". On top of smelling like heaven, the man has the face of an angel, with a body made for unbridled sin. A combination Adrian finds very hard to resist.

Unfortunately, someone is trying to kill Sage, and they’re using magic to do it. Sage usually takes these types of matters into his own hands, but this time, he’s out of his league. He believes the only person who can help him is the down-on-his-luck detective. Problem is, Adrian doesn't want to take his case because he feels it may be too dangerous. Never mind the volcanic-level attraction they seem to share for each other raising the stakes. Magic and mayhem awaits.

Listener advisory: For ages 18 and older. Strong adult situations and language. A sarcastic PI and a no-nonsense mobster will keep you resisting pause way past your bedtime. Best order that pizza, because once you start this book, you won’t want to stop.

Magical Mobsters and PI’s oh my!

Wow what an amazing beginning to a new series from Nicholas Bella!
An amazing new world is brought to life with characters that are very intriguing and complex. Amazing audible narration. As a southerner I appreciated the drawl!
Shifters, vampires and mages all reside in the world, as well as humans (who know nothing of the supernatural world).
Several plot lines are going at once, but Bella weaves them effortlessly into cohesive stories that keep you reading just to see the next plot twist.
The characters are so well written and the chemistry is off the charts hot! From the moment the main characters eyes meet...it’s fire!
Now I’ve never been big on mafia romances, but this one only gives you small glimpses of that world. Just enough so you get the flavor of what that lifestyle is about. The ruthlessness and drive that mafia families encapsulate are married to a different races of supernatural clans. The focus is more on the supernatural aspects of the story, especially the Magic.
I cannot wait for the next installment of this series! Nicholas Bella never disappoints when he hooks you into one of his series of novels. Well worth a listen every time!

Sweet Hussy Caroline!

Nicholas Bella has done it again with That Mafioso Magic. This book has everything you need for your listening pleasure. Magic, mages, sex, vampires, shifters and did I mention hot sex? And just in case you are not convinced, how about a group of deadly, “not be to mess with” bodyguards who can throw down on five-inch spiked stilettos?  Yes, they do exist!! Just be ready for the best or worst book hangovers. I am still recovering!

Nicholas Bella’s writing style is unique and captivating. He does not sugar coat things nor use fluff, and this translates to characters who are straight forward and honest in their actions and feelings.
The dynamic between the two main characters is extraordinary. Adrian and Sage are two people from different worlds who collided in an epic scene you will have to listen and experience for yourself.

I joke that if this audiobook was one of those old vinyl records, it will have scratches all over! Yes, I have listened to That Mafioso Magic that many times. it is that good.
Keith Foltz voice is unbelievable, he helps bring each character to life. The voice he gave to each character is how I imagined it when I read the book. Excellent choice of narrator. I can’t wait for the next book.

Too Amazing, can not wait for the next book

If you have not read this book I recommend that you give it a try because it is worth everything and more. For me, this book was magnificent, well detailed, and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting and waiting for more. I personally can not wait for the next book within the series to come out.

Favorite scene:
My favorite scene within the book had to be when both Sage and Adrian merged both of their half of the book together and saw a variety of visions that provided them with clues as to what is occurring between the two of them and how they are connected.

Booking rating: 4.6 out of 5
Steamy levels: 5 out of 5 (there are plenty of steamy scenes that will make you further falling in love with both Sage and Adrian)
People that I still find suspicious: Adrian's best friend ( only because he asks too many questions for my liking and he just seems a little off for some reason) and Yolanda- Sage's new vampire- lion shifter hybrid ( the reason why is due to the fact that she was with and loyal to Seleno first and I don't trust Seleno)

I personally can not wait until the second book within the series comes out because I know that Nicholas Bella is going to get more into who and or what is the mage court and also I really want to see Sage go up against someone since he is now a Tribrid ( Lion shifter, mage, and vampire) which is so freaking cool.

This was the first-ever book that I've listened to by Nicholas Bella and I can confidently say that I'm looking forward to more of Nicholas's work since this book was a true gem that I plan on keeping and listening to more and more.

The narration is the only positive...

I go in with a low bar when it comes to shifter or magic P.I. books, but wow this was unbearable. All of the characters' actions don't make any sense, are super stereotyped, and the descriptions were annoyingly repetitive rather than building on detail. I almost made it through chapter 3 and had to just put it down. I'm hoping I can find something else read by this narrator. He wasn't as polished as some, but he had an impressive range of tones and voices in just the little bit I listened to.

That Mafioso Magic

An excellent start to this new series.

Completely unlike anything else I’ve read/heard of Nicholas Bella’s.

Highly recommend and I can’t wait to read/listen to the next book.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Needs Revision

The story has too many things going on to have a clear arc. Early on, one of the main characters...
SPOILERS

Is a lion shifter and a mage AND THEN also becomes a vampire. It pretty ambitious and isn't presented in an organic way. It seems like the author trying to tell us how exceptional he is and not show us. Show me, don't tell me.
END SPOILERS

There is a lot of obfuscation, mixing and misquotation of idioms. There seem to be typos or perhaps incorrect grammar. I'm not sure if the narrator is reading directly or not. the narrator does every voice well except for the fist MC who is totally mis-voiced.
