Publisher's Summary

The boy’s body was so white it was almost transparent. But that’s not what caused the nausea to rise up her throat. He was so young. His body was unmarked, surrounded by a halo of plucked wildflowers.

One hot summer evening, 11-year-old Mikey Driscoll is on the way home from playing with friends. Two days later, his body is discovered on a bed of wildflowers by some local teenagers.

The case is assigned to Detective Lottie Parker, and this time it’s personal. The victim was a close friend of her son, Sean, from the run-down Munbally estate on the other side of town. Sean tells his mother Mikey was behaving normally before he died, but Lottie can’t help but feel that her son is keeping something from her....

Then days later, another boy is found dead, surrounded by wild flowers next to beautiful Ladystown Lake.

On the hunt for a twisted individual with a terrifying calling card, Lottie must uncover the web of secrets within Mikey’s circle of friends. Someone is hiding something, but who are they protecting, and can Lottie find out before it’s too late? Lottie is desperate to catch the killer before he strikes again because this time her own child could be in terrible danger....

If you love Karin Slaughter, Robert Dugoni, and Rachel Abbott, you’ll love the latest heart-stopping thriller from Patricia Gibney. Tell Nobody will keep you guessing until the very last word.

Good series

Didn't see that coming.

I like this series. It's gruesome and deals with uncomfortable subjects but the characters are interesting and the stories are complex and sometimes surprising. There are many potential suspects that keep the reader guessing.

Lottie appeared to me to be more annoying in this book. She was rude - especially to Boyd - and seemed to forget her children too often. I hope she changes her attitude.

Narration was great, as usual. Michele Moran does a wonderful job.

EXTRAORDINARY SERIES!

I LOVE this series and sorry to see it end. I hope a new release follows soon. Throughout this entire series, I never grew bored. Lottie Parker is a GREAT main character and all the supporting characters are equally as good. Patricia Gibney is a superb author and Michele Moran does a terrific job in narration. I highly recommend this series but start at the beginning.

I could not put this down!

As a busy, working mom of 2, I allotted 30 minutes a day to read this book. That plan did not work out so well. I found myself getting up early in the morning to squeeze in an extra 45 minutes a day to listen to this book while I went on my runs. All of the Lottie Parker series leave me dying to read the next book and this one was no different. Keep on writing Patricia Gibney! I love your characters and the twists in your books!!

Good murder mystery

I always enjoy D.I. Lottie Parker's adventures. In this book, she was a bit grumpier and a bit short with people. I suppose this is to indicate how stressed she is. I felt like I don't know who she is and I'm not sure I would want to know her in real life. Please, can Lottie have some fun? She is becoming an unlikable character.

Meh. Very formulaic.

Lottie is going the way of the Nikki Galena series - too formulaic. Lottie's kids are somehow always involved in these capers. How small is this town? I got through it, but couldn't wait for it to be over.

Like the book. Can’t stand the narration.

Interesting story, a little slow moving. Overall very good. Michele Moran’s narration is just plain irritating.

meh. i love this books dont get me wrong

and the performance is awesome. spoiler alert in case you have yet to read / listen.
a bit internally misogynistic, the female characters. Suprising they are written by a woman. Lottie is generally such a stone cold bitch that no man without major psychological problems could want her, thank God that bichiness os blunted in this book, as she learns to think before opening her abusive gob (have a love / hate relationship with her myself). where to Gibney get the idea that pot is either "addictive" or that it causes "withdrawal symptoms" of a major headache when a pothead is late with their morning puff? Very misinforned. Caffeine withdrawalcauses severe withdrawal headaches (more like major migraines) but there is no such thing as thc withdrawal. oh, and so it is not misreported in future novels. it is NOT a gateway drug.

Lottie, Lottie, Lottie...

I love this one so much that I gave it five stars even though I want to choke the fictional D.I. Parker at times. This is the same for each book in the series. :) But, I love her. I love Boyd, her kids, and the rest of the characters. The plot is quite gripping, and the surprise loss of one of the secondary characters brought me to tears. The narration is, as always, perfect. Bring on #6!!!

Similar to all of this series

I really wish that Patricia Gibney could learn a few new synonyms for the word "said". It becomes extremely annoying listening to a conversation with "he said", "she said" "he said" "she said" repeated so frequently. It distracts from the story, which wasn't that brilliant, anyway

Amazing as always

I love Lottie Parker! As always the story was excellent, intriguing from the start, with twists and turns to keep me hooked. Lottie as always was a great flawed heroine. Michele Moran as always made it a great listen too!
So as always I would completely recommend Patricia Gibney.... wonder when Book 6 will be out!!

I love this series of books and this was my favourite so far
Trouble is that I have to wait now for the next one to be written! Great narrator too
