About this listen

His boss had given him a mission: to bring back his son, Gerten, alive. Max needed this break, for he and his pregnant wife were struggling just to keep the lights on. His boss promised to pay him well so he may finally be able to support his new family. But something is about to go wrong. Is it the fault of the Telecarter machine, absence of a full moon, or just human error?

It did not seem to make any sense. Vladamir had programmed the machine to take him back to the year Gerten was killed. He should be in the middle of a war zone. He was in the midst of unfamiliar animals, large flying creatures with wing spans that stretched in feet, not inches. In addition, there was no sign of any civilization....

Suddenly the hair stood up on the back of Max's neck. It was as if his body had a premonition that danger was closely lurking. He spotted the Telecarter machine and estimated a short run back to the machine if necessary. His heart was racing and pounding.... Max was beginning to realize that this might not be the right location to find Gerten. It might also be the wrong year. He was witnessing creatures and sounds....
