Publisher's Summary

Dealing with dragons is hard. Dealing with a teenage daughter is even harder.

My new mission involves both. Weird things are happening in Northern Idaho, and my boss is sending me to investigate. Unfortunately, my daughter and ex-husband are vacationing in the town that’s at the center of the trouble. Coincidence? Or is someone targeting them to get at me?

I’m a wanted woman right now. Not only by the criminal werewolves, orcs, and trolls that I’m often hired to kill. But by the Dragon Justice Court.

An organization full of arrogant, powerful dragons is exactly as horrible as it sounds. They’re the last beings you’d want after your family. If I can’t get to the bottom of the mystery and convince the dragons I’m not their enemy, I stand to lose far more than my own life.

Disappointing development

Warning, contains spoilers. I've liked this series so far. It has a feisty and confident heroine, she's a mature woman and she's confident in her abilities. The plot is fun and funny. But, and this is a big but. In this book the heroine is 'claimed' as a mate against her will/knowledge by an uber-powerful mythical being. It also turns out thay she's not a regular garden variety mongrel who is part human and part elf, no, she's the daughter of a king. These tired and clichéd plot devices have soured the book for me. Time and again wer see heroines submitting willingly or unwillingly to alpha males and liking it. This dragon alpha male considers her to be a 'lesser being' and still she is attracted to him and wants to jump in the sack with him. This relationship is unbelievable and abusive. As for her being the illegitimate child of royalty...I have no words.

Book 4 please!

I know there are more books ready in this series. Where is book 4?!? I’m really enjoying this. The MC is not your typical MC - she knows her strengths and weaknesses. This makes her story that much more intriguing to me. There isn’t anything special about her, she knows what she is and what she’s worth. And she takes no Bs. I love it!

Love this character!

I have really enjoyed this series! The narrator has really brought the characters to life. The tiger alone is worth listening to this Audible story, but the main character is hysterical!!

for Vivienne Leheny

Horrible pronunciation of multiple regional names like Coeur D'Alene (Cord-Ah-Lane) by the person reading it.

very entertaining as usual

I got hooked on another of Lindsay Buroker series (Dragon's Blood). Subsequent series were interesting but not as good.
This series seemed to capture the amusing byplay that I enjoyed from the first series I enjoyed and fell in love with.

Great book

Another good addition to the series. Similar feel and narration to the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. Looking forward to the next one.

OMG, bite your lip woman!!

She has no filter at all this woman. Speaking her mind at inappropriate moments that make you want to pinch her. The interaction she has between both her tiger guide and the dragon law enforcer are comical at times. The light hearted threat to naw off a limb by the tiger is very witty making the tread of this story really engaging and addictive.
