About this listen

Cybernetics, mounting debt, and a flight for survival.

In the sprawling city of Artem, Rus dreams of soaring the skies, while Pim, a tiny hybrid of walrus and rat, faces a world of cruelty. Both are thrust into situations they never imagined, their fates bound by the unforgiving tides of destiny.

Rus, a fearless runner by day and racer by night, stands at the brink of eviction, with his family's home hanging in the balance. After a catastrophic accident, he's faced with a life-changing choice: undergo experimental modifications and be forever indebted to the ominous M-Corp or be left to perish. As Rus grapples with his new reality, Pim's journey of hope and despair intertwines with Shay, a ten-year-old scavenger, revealing the harshest aspects of city life.

From the luxurious heights of helo flying to the grimy underbelly of the city transporting mods, their tales are a testament to resilience, the friends they meet along the way, and the relentless pursuit of dreams in the face of insurmountable odds. Dive into a world where technology pushes boundaries, and every decision has repercussions that echo throughout a city on the edge.

Tailspin is a cyberpunk-inspired LitRPG featuring a rich kid, yet still a rags-to-riches adventure!

I am not a sci-fi fan but love LitRPG. When a story becomes to techy I am becoming bored. With that said I can realy recommend this book! A few chapters in and I was hooked by the story and wanted to know more about eveything. The story moves around two characters who are on different tiers of society and places. I did find I got lost between chapters sometime when perspective moved from one to the other, but did catch after a minute. The MC is relatable and easy to understand even thoug I did not know much about the society and customs. There is a lot of action and character building. The relation between characters are good and interesting.
The tech is body augmentations and helicopters. In my opinion it was only a few times where there was a bit too much tech talk. Character statistics usualy found in LitRPG are seldom talked about but are always there in the characters hud..

i found this book in the plus category and have not read any other stories about Artem before.
try this one, i found it great and refreshing from the usualy epic fantasy i read/listen to.

Solid and capturing story. Cyberpunk, Helicopters and magic
