Publisher's Summary

The last thing a Necromancer expects is to be brought back from the dead....

After fulfilling the duty all Arch Necromancers are tasked with, the last thing Sylver Sezari expected was to be reborn. He was usually the one reanimating dead things. How ironic.

But reborn he was.

And after crawling his way back into the land of the living, he finds himself a strange land, a strange time, and with a strange floating screen in front of his new face.

Either through plan or chance, he’s alive again, and planning to enjoy himself to his heart's content.

Don't miss the start of this LitRPG adventure about a reincarnated necromancer growing in power and finding his way in a new world where the rules have changed vastly since he last "lived".

About the series: With equal parts humor and dark sorcery action, expect loads of skill progression, deep worldbuilding, and unforgettable characters in this story which had nearly 10 million views on Royal Road. Now completely revised and reedited for Kindle and Audible.

what a surprisingly nice necromancer

just a great book. good pacing, jokes and themes. I particularly enjoyed the author showing genuine kindness by using the dark content of the world.

Nothing new but still excellent.

Let me start with some negative, there is nothing ground breaking here. A lot of story elements feel similar to other stories and while the story arcs don't fall into cliche they aren't exactly novel either.

That said everything in my opinion is handled masterfully. The MC has a perfect mixture of being OP and while still facing challenges. It neither feels like he has massive plot armour and when he does struggle it feels like it is reasonable rather than him having become an idiot out of no where.

The story flows well from one plot point to the next and it never feels like a certain arc is being dragged out or used to buff out run time.

I think the balance between humour/levity and seriousness from the MC is well handled. The MC does a great job of justifying his actions and morality while actually sticking to it. I never felt like he was doing anything that was inconsistent with what was previously established.

Side characters are quite fun and the interactions between the MC and them feel believable. Also big props to having the MC actually have intimate relations without pussy footing around the topic yet not becoming erotica. I hate it when Authors make the MC regardless of how old or how experienced afraid of sex or even "too busy".

There are a few other things I would like to praise the book for but I am not a great writer/reviewer. The last thing I want to say though is that all the positive things above are woven into one long coherent entertaining story, preformed extremely well by Garrett Michael Brown. I think the book deserves a 5/5.
