Publisher's Summary

For Max Duncan, the word Sundown means one thing … run.

Corpses infected with a mysterious, incurable virus are roaming free throughout the United States, feasting upon the living. The Duncan family compound in Montana is Max’s only hope for survival - but to get there, she has to flee from South Carolina and survive crossing several states with her daughter Jack in tow.

Max has a choice to make. Does she risk her own life, and her daughter’s, to find the man she’s always loved?

Griffin Wells was Max’s high school sweetheart, and he has no idea that Jack is his child. Max still has feelings for him, and the apocalypse has suddenly brought those emotions to the surface, strong as they ever were.

But zombies are the least of their worries. The government knows more about the infected than it’s willing to let on, and the military has plans for Max’s family you’ll never see coming.

Couldn’t stop listening!

Literally didn’t want to stop. Tried setting a timer at bed time and kept extending it Lol! Finally gave in at 6 am, slept for 3 hours and started again.
Great writing and excellent performance. Can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book.

Great Series

Max was raised by a Prepper father, taught to survive by any means necessary. Traveling from South Carolina to her family compound in Montana, Max makes a slight detour to find the father of her daughter and bring him along. Griffin is unaware that he is a father. These two were a couple in their high school days and when Griffin chose to join the Army, Max's father had other ideas about this relationship continuing. Trying to come to terms with all the personal baggage while also trying to survive the zombie uprising along with being chase by a shady government Max and Griffin, along with their daughter Jack go through hell and high water to reach her siblings Alex and Rafe. One thing I really enjoyed about this series is Book 1 is about Alex, Book Two is about Max, Book Three is about Rafe and Book Four has them all together fighting on many fronts. I also enjoyed having strong women as the main characters. So tired of the women being damsels in distress or caged by neanderthals who think a women is only good for one thing, This series is a breath of fresh air.

whew, a hell of an emotional ride

Max and the crew face a daunting challenge. Courtney Kanstantin and narrator Tess Irondale have teamed up to bring this story to life. A corrupt government and main characters with good intentions are the rule of the day.

Second book in the Sundown series

I am really enjoying these books right now in 2020! I read the first book and had to know what happened next, boy what a ride this was!!!
I loved the characters in the first book and now also here! It was definitely worth the credit!
The narrator Tess Irondale is great at bringing the everyone to life!
I'm heading to book three to see what awaits the Duncan's of Montana!

Max and Jack

Interesting series, first book was about Alex and her young children Billie and Henry. This book follows Max and her 8 yr old daughter Jack. Although I enjoyed it, I found a part of it a little out there. I don't want to give anything away but it wasn't something I found very believable.
Next I believe is their brother's story so I'm off to read....

Better than expected

I was not excited to leave book one's story, I had little interest in following another set of characters. I'm so happy I can tell you how i wrong I was, this book was just as good as the first in every way. I found the characters to be far better than i expected and to my pleasant surpise the story was not identical to the first with different characters.

Excellent except for .....

...... the torture section that seemed to drag on and on. That section was way too long and explicit.

Sincerely a spectacular Series!

Sincerely a spectacular series, I can't wait to get into book 3! If it's as good as books 1 & 2 I'm sure it'll be equally enthralling if not more so!
