Publisher's Summary

What would you do if you found a spaceship? Would you call the government, would you pretend you never saw it, or would you keep it a secret? What would you do with it? Use it to gallivant around the galaxy, conquer Earth, get filthy rich, or try to improve life on Earth? Listen along and find out how Marc works to convert Earth into a spacefaring world capable of defending itself and of being united as it meets the other civilizations in the galaxy. He and his brother start planning their next steps, but the one they don’t know how to prepare for is the arrival of Marc’s 12-year-old daughter. She comes to spend the summer with her father. She’s very smart and extremely curious.

Marc and his crew need to accomplish all this without tipping off the US government and before the Paraxeans come looking for their spaceship. But they have help, the ship’s AI is on their side, and she’s smart.

Starship Sakira is the first book in the exciting new adventure series Delphi in Space.

Excellent!

I really enjoyed this book. It lifted me up out of depression and think above all the horror in our world. And recognise we can be so much more than what we are.

Intriguing concept. Narration needs work.

The synopsis is intriguing and the story is potentially good.
Unfortunately the narration needs work to carry the story better.
The narrator speaks clearly and enunciates well. She has the potential to develop into a proficient story teller but at this time lacks enough voice modulation to act the different characters properly. The result, sadly, is somewhat emotionless and mono tonal.
I was unable to listen beyond the first chapter but I’m hoping that if the narrator works on improving her voice characterisations and inflections, and the story is re-recorded, I could then try and listen to this book again.
I wish her and the author the best of luck for future endeavours.

Excellent start to the series

I greatly enjoyed this story, the family of characters showed interesting dynamics and felt quite real, given the extreme circumstances they were put into. Recommended. Eager to continue.

Narrator has the emotional range of a low fat, non-dairy rice pudding

Monotone emotionless narration made this audiobook impossible to listen to. It's just possible there's a half-decent story here, but it's going to take another narrator, a Kindle or a paperback to find out...

Consistency and story feel

Book didn’t feel like a whole story but high school essay. Few action, lots of conversation, stupid predictable heroes actions and mistakes, not recommended. Wasted money
