Publisher's Summary

The first audiobook in the Sisters of Salem trilogy about twin witches from the powerhouse duo P.C. and Kristin Cast!

Double double, twins spell trouble....

Hunter and Mercy Goode are twin witches, direct descendants of the founder of their town of Goodeville. As their ancestors have done before them, it is now time for the twins to learn what it means to be Gatekeepers - the protectors of the Gates to different underworlds, ancient portals between their world and realms where mythology rules and nightmares come to life.

When their mother becomes the first victim in a string of murders, the devastated sisters vow to avenge her death. But it will take more than magic to rein in the ancient mythological monsters who’ve infected their peaceful town.

Now Hunter and Mercy must come together and accept their destiny or risk being separated for good.

Bad Narrator Good Story

The story line is great but the narrator was horrible. The girl are 16 and the impersonation of them made them sound whiney.. I love the Casts .. Ive almost everything they have. Switching to non audible to I can enjoy the book

Okay

This book is for a younger audience. It does have a good story to create a great series.

Another hit

I really enjoyed this series. Hunter and Mercy have to deal with their new roles as Gatekeepers, being teenagers and also the death of their mom. Ill be interested to see where the story goes
The narrator wasn’t my favourite but not enough to ruin the story. This is a story that could very much have the potential to be a hit series.

LOVED the book! The narrator needs work.

I've grown up reading HoN by these lovely ladies and couldn't have been more pleased with the story! However, I was very disappointed with the choice of narrator. I know these are teen witches, but I feel as though the narrator is way overkill with her teen voice. It's annoying. Not every single teen girl is going to sound like the annoying stereotype and so whiney. I truly hope a new narrator is picked for the sequels. The characters truly deserve a better voice than Cassandra Campbell.

Good but

What is with the gratuitous sex scene? It honestly did not add any value to the story and the character development could have been written another way.

Unfortunately, I cannot let my pre-teen niece read this book series now.

Otherwise a really interesting and fun read.
