About this listen

Discover Space Force, the number one Audible best-selling novel by New York Times best seller Jeremy Robinson, and ask yourself, "Who thought this was a good idea?"

Five years ago, the US Space Force became a reality. And while those writing the checks took things very seriously, the other military branches did not. As a result, Space Force was populated by undesirables: men and women who made too many mistakes, didn't follow the rules, or...slept with the wrong general's daughter. Three times. On camera. It was a mistake, okay?

My name is Captain Ethan Stone, a decorated member of SEAL Team Six turned Space Force "recruit". While the powers-that-be attempted to make Space Force an embarrassment, they also sent some of the very best minds, fighters, and pilots to the program, because sometimes the best of us decide to take a stand against those same powers. Yeah, yeah. Not me. Though I seem to recall I was standing when...sorry. It's a distracting memory.

Flash forward five years and between tenses. President West is in office. Power has shifted. And Space Force is defunded. With just a handful of us still living on base, we find ourselves being evicted. But before all of us can leave, aliens invade. Really ugly ones, too. Super nasty. I don't think I could describe them here without getting the audiobook banned.

Anywho, using their advanced technology, they seal off Space Force Command behind a shrinking force field and kick off a battle royale to the death. Human vs. alien. To the victors goes the Earth. While my boy Frank Taylor and I throw down inside the force field, my main squeeze, First Lieutenant Jennifer Hale, leads an international strike team into freakin' space. It's nuts. Crazy action. Super funny, too, in like a Deadpool way, if that's your thing.

The only way to really know what went down is to snag a copy of this audiobook and listen to it for yourself...before it's too late. Or wait for the movie. There is going to be a movie, right?

This book is full of gratuitous gore and lots and lots a swearing. Even an Aussie like me was shocked and a little envious. I urge everyone to listen to this audio book just so you can revel in the disgusting brilliance that is Space Force.

Oh, and if Jeremy decides to write a sequel, I'll definitely listen to it to make sure he read this review and cleaned it up a bit. I'm watching you Mr Robinson. 🧐

No wonder the Canadians are mad.

I love it when a writer ignores the norm and goes freestyle. Thankyou Jeremy Robinson.

Space Force was not what i was expecting at all but Im not mad. It was different and I love that. As a 'gamer' a lot of the references to things made sense but in the same way as someone who isnt a gamer would use very common sometimes cringy terminology - which is fine, just a bit jarring.

Something a little wacky

If you like sci-fi with a bunch of action and a generous squeeze of self-deprecating humour then this is a book for you.
Robinson’s writing is clean and smart without getting entangled in heady philosophy or intensive detail. All the narrators deliver smooth and engaging performances to support the story. Thank you for the entertainment!

Fast-paced and funny

Brilliantly written and majestically dramatised, a must for anyone with a slightly twisted side... I am fairly new to Jeremy Robinson's work, and I'm already hooked.

Hysterical and original, Grandma won't approve

If you don’t like this book you take life too seriously. Great narrators with a witty fast paced narrative.

Light hearted and funny

I really enjoyed the characters, the story was decent in parts I really liked the ending and inner monologues of the characters but in my opinion it happened too much. also I wish there was more perspectives especially from Taylor's and Ivans viewpoint. overall I guess the story was simple..the battle royal thing was kind of lame I thought. the way it ended this one part where the woman is explaining her motivations and intentions over why shes doing a certain thing was the best part of the whole book for me because i really FELT for the character.
The next book needs more perspectives and more dynamicness between the characters. by the half of the book I didn't really care at all much about the love interest of two characters or the inner monologues and found myself more interested in the robot, the scientist and the Russian.

characters were great, story..meh. definitely some notable parts though. still worth a credit.

There were many moments in this story that were genuinely enjoyable, but the author relies too heavily on stereotypes and cliches. After the 50th quip making fun of the nerdy-socially naive Asian man stereotype, any rapport the author built from his use of strong female Asian characters got lost (as if he is trying to say that only female Asians can be attractive). This story was meant to be fun. But a lot of that fun is lost when parts of is written like an 80s soap opera trying to be 'hip with the times'.

Has good moments, but relies too heavily on cliche
