Publisher's Summary

One winter's night, a lone figure arrives on foot in a remote Pennine village.

The next morning, as the first heavy snow begins to fall, a man's body is discovered in the village churchyard.

Anne Tilston, one of three sisters living in a brooding run-down house in the shadow of the church, realises that the dead man is her father, a disgraced former senior police officer long estranged from his family.

As DCI Kenny Murrain's team arrive in the village to investigate the unexplained death, a further body is discovered in a nearby field - a young man from the village with no apparent connection to Tilston or his daughters.

With the snow continuing to fall, another body is discovered, and Murrain finds himself stranded with his team in the sisters' house with a seemingly motiveless killer waiting outside in the night.

Dreadful narration

I normally enjoy Alex waters books and probably would have enjoyed this one too but for the narrator! Very stilted dialogue read in a monotone.

A bit more of the same

After 2 enjoyable instalments of Kenny Murrain’s adventures I was looking forward to seeing what happens next in Snow Fallen. A little bit of character development, but could have been bolder. Same with the story. Has potential but ends up leaving an empty feeling. The plot was full of opportunities to really provide a gripping and suspenseful story, but the overall result was all a bit meh…

Absolutely no depth of character at all. And no real plot

I understand there's a murder or two or three and the book is about solving them, but the storyline is so scattered (even though they're locked in a house for the entire book) that is not actually enjoyable to listen to. After listening three books in the series I still have no idea what the characters are actually about.

Interesting Plot. Lots of twists and turns.

I enjoyed listening to this third book , as it took the previous two books for me to recognise all the main characters without having to think. The Author’s style of switching from first names to surnames , sometimes with their title added , I had found disconcerting.
Without giving away a spoiler. How did he get out of his handcuffs?
