This was soooo good, TEAM GRIM!! I love Oro too though but oh well! I cannot get over the Clift hanger! Ughhh
I also loved the plot twist with her parents and her power 🫢🫢 go girl!!!

I think the narrator could use a bit of work on her consistent annunciation. I couldn’t tell what the dragons name was and actually had to look it up because she kept changing from wraith to reef. Same with Oro. Sounded like Arrow or Auro. And Isla has no S in its pronunciation just like the Island. Story is fine but for someone with so much power, Alex Aster made Isla so weak and prone to being in bad situations that she never gets out of herself. Always has someone else save her. I also disliked how minimal Alex’s vocab was for certain things. Constantly using the same phrasing and saying the same words over and over. It was decent and I’ll read the next one but could use some work.

Pronunciation issues

The series is starting to lose me, we are on book 3 and I am over the resistance to Grim and the back and forth. Whilst the revelation of her flare was a good addition, overall I think the series is falling flat and the “cliffhanger” felt more like an abrupt end rather than a cliffhanger to continue the series.
Almost as if she forgot a chapter to truly leave me wanting more.
