Sinners Retreat was an addictive blend of dark romance and laugh-out-loud comedy, and I was here for every chaotic second. I listened to the audiobook and found myself grinning like an idiot one moment, then biting my lip the next—Lauren Biel really nailed that balance between danger and desire.

The banter between the characters was sharp, flirty, and perfectly timed. It gave the whole story a playful edge while still holding onto its darker themes. I loved that while there was undeniable spice and moral greyness, the tone didn’t drag me down—it felt like a fun, unhinged vacation with high stakes and higher sexual tension. The romance had depth, but it also didn’t shy away from the ridiculous in the best way.

The setting added to the vibe—a secluded retreat where no one is quite what they seem, and trouble (or temptation) is always one step away. It’s the kind of story where you know things are going to spiral and you want to be there to watch it happen.

This was my first read by Lauren Biel, and now I absolutely need more.

This was a load of fun, made infinitely better by the voice actors!!
Some real Butcher and Blackbird vibes - absolute murdering murderers, but with lots of laughs. It was completely and utterly over the top, but it was fun as all buggery. The love development was simple, but Ezra was hot as socks!
If you are up for some shenanigans, like a bit or weirdness and enjoy some kinky Dom-ness this is right up your alley.
The next book is heavily hinted at and you know what, I will be here for it!

This was an excellent romp through a deliciously chaotic cacophony of death! Haha
It was utterly hilarious, blatantly embarrassing main characters for the readers amusement.
The only thing I felt lacking, was a slightly rushed ending. Things fell into place too quickly and given the propensity for bloodlust, an opportunity was missed.

Other than that, grab a 🍍 and jump into this fruit salad of feverous frivolity! 🤣

Hilarious, dark romance, with a touch of fun banter and some steamy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🍆🍆🍆. I would highly recommend this book if you don’t mind a little laughter with your murderous characters. This book is a must listen to but please read and know your trigger warnings. If you get off on listening to the worst of the worst get their karma with a dab of spice this is definitely a book to add to your TBR list

Sinners Retreat was such a fun, wild ride — definitely a departure from Lauren Biel’s usual style, but in the best way possible! It had a lighter, almost chaotic energy that pulled me in right away. Kindra was a bit of a headache at times (girl, please breathe), but I loved Ezra. He had that quiet intensity I couldn’t get enough of. Honestly though, I found myself more drawn to Cat and Bennett — their dynamic had me wanting even more page time with them! I listened to the audiobook, which was done in a full duet narration, and it added so much life to the story. Shane East absolutely nailed Ezra — his voice was perfect for the character, and Angelina Rocca did a great job bringing Kindra to life. The rest of the cast (Sean Masters, Alexis Page, and Gregory Salinas) rounded out the experience perfectly. The performances made it feel like I was right there at the retreat with them.
