About this listen

Book 2 in the Titan's Nest Saga.

The Nest has fallen.

Darren and Tenebros are on the run. Their goal? Survive. While evading their hunters, they must hone their skills and recruit allies to take back their home and free the Bitten Knights-who are facing a ceremonial execution in less than thirty days.

At the Nest, Roark oversees the fortifications of the capital and has sent an enormous host of Swarmborne to hunt down Darren and his friends. Knowing well that the Wards are seeking allies, Roark decides to recruit some more warriors of his own...

Ryker and Hyperion, against their will, are faced with an impossible task. They must free three criminals from Dazawrath's most heavily guarded prison. Ryker quickly learns the Roost is not only home to killers and monsters, but ancient and terrible secrets that may just alter the fate of Dazawrath forever.

I had to wait a couple of weeks after finishing this audiobook before writing a review, because I devoured the sequel so quickly that I needed time to relish it. Sigra's Roost is another remarkable tale from a T.D. Orel, and I was so impressed by the continued richness of the world-building, and the growth and development of his characters, that reaching the final chapter genuinely felt like parting ways with old friends for a while.

In many ways, Sigra's Roost is even more compelling than book one, Titan's Nest. The story continues to expand outward as we encounter new nations, each brought to life with vivid and distinct landscapes, cultures, politics, mythologies, and magical creatures. The universe feels deeper and more layered with every chapter, and everything comes alive so vividly that it’s impossible not to be fully immersed — especially in audiobook form.

The core group of characters has grown into a truly unbreakable band of friends. Their loyalty, humour, and hard-won trust feels natural and earned. The use of multiple POVs works beautifully here, offering insight into their different worldviews, inner struggles, and personal growth. The author's approach here adds emotional weight while also broadening the scope of the story.

And that ending! The cliffhanger left me immediately racing to the author’s socials and website to find out when book three is expected. I can’t wait to return to this world and these characters. Five stars for Sigra's Roost!

A powerful sequel that expands the world and raises the emotional stakes - plus dragons!
