Oh, what would our world be like, with humanities severed psyche splashed onto the outer world with its dramas and fragmented confusions, if people could read a book like “She” (and its partner book “He”) and understand the struggles of the human soul?

Every woman should read this to know the reality of the trials she faces (men, you can learn about your women through this, too!), and to know the mythological significance of her own unfoldment.

I have lived a little over half the life described in the story of Psyche contending with Aphrodite, and what an amazing thing to have it mirrored in exactitude by this myth. How relieving to know my dynamics with men, bouts of suicidal thoughts and loss of energy are all apart of the individuating feminine psyche. I have that much more clarity about the phases I am in and how to embrace them with courage and trust that I am on my way to Persephone’s final test.
