Shaw book 7 in the Hell Squad series focuses on Hell Squad sniper Shaw Baird and Claudia Frost - soldier, friend, and all-around badass. Claudia is taken prisoner by an alien invader she names the Hunter and he makes her life a misery until she is finally rescued by Hell Squad. It's not until these events that the two realise just what they feel for each other, unfortunately they both also have baggage from their pasts and must overcome these obstacles as well to find each other. And just to add to the mix, the Hunter wants her back for his collection and will do anything to get what he wants. What follows is a high octane game of cat and mouse with the survivors of Blue Mountain base on the run trying to reach the enclave and the Hunter hot on their tail. Another action packed book with aliens, humans, laugh out loud humour and scorching hot romance. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.

I'm pretty sure this one has the most action and drama of all of them so far. the enemy is getting smarter and seriously I'm not sure how Ms Hackett is going to keep giving us different plots. I think it's amazing how she comes up with these ideas.
once again Sam does a brilliant job with her accents and her tone and inflections , and Jeffrey is good with his military type voice but still he does not use his accents. He tells us they are talking in an accent but he actually does not do it himself; a little sad I feel as Sam does it so when we switch to the male voice it doesn't continue.
glad shaw and Claudia got together in the end. the way the two were members of hell squad it would only be expected that there was drama and action and the way they bounce off each other definitely love. I'm not sure how the next books going to go as the heroine hasn't got a thing for the hero, so I see it as a slow burn love story but the hours are short I'm just wondering if they'll end up at the Enclave in this next book. time to find out, and like some of the other reviews said these books are addictive and there are a few left so I think audible is going to be able to have a few lunches on me lol.
