Delightful cozy mystery with the added twist of woodland creatures as characters. Once you get past the conundrum that a moose couldn’t possibly hold a coffee pot, or how a mouse can carry a financial report, you can relax and just listen for the fun of it. Will definitely purchase the next on the series.

I love the premise. Attempt at sweet / cozy. Before reading i read other reviews and the main negative is a predictability, which on its own I dont find a negative. Unfortunately the predictability lies in the use of outdated stereotypes. From harangued, industrious men who wish they had sons to continue their businesses, and instead get 'lazy, gossipy daughters who spend all their money.' Loose women, fainty, dramatic and manipulative wives... etc. Stereotypes that stem from centuries of misogyny and patriarchy. I dont need all books to be deep - i was looking for cozy. But cozy is not regurgitating sexist, misguided characateurs. I won't be reading from this author again.
