Really cute

For such a short book it was really well done. Story only gets 3 stars as it was so short. It definitely could have had more substance with more going on. But very cute and Erin Mallon does a great job. Second book is twice as long so am looking forward to it.

3.5 Stars

This book was short and sweet. For the length, I was surprised at how much I liked the characters, usually I don't feel the connection in shorter books but in this one I did for sure. I did find this book to be a little on the unrealistic side or maybe even a little cheesy with his "secret". If the past was such a big deal to her that she goes into panic mode when faced with it then how is it possible she doesn't see it? I really liked Walker and how down to earth hes is. I also cheered on Madison when she stood up for herself, I love a strong female character. Their chemistry was sizzling too.

Erin Mallon was the reason I decided to check out this book. She is my FAVORITE narrator and because of her I have found a lot of hidden gems I probably wouldn't have tried with another narrator.

Didn't like it

The story seemed rushed and amateur. To me the storyline didn't make much sense and probably should have been longer.

Short and sweet except.........

Madison had way too many preconceived notions and insecurity. That been said I wish the story was longer I wanted more. Erin narration was great I love her male voice it's actually pretty hot.

Sweet second chance romance

Walker and Madison definitely have a Hollywood story. This second chance love story will make you swoon. The narrator does a great job of really pulling you into the story and feeling their emotions. I was thinking that their story continued into book 2, but this is a standalone. As these two reconnect and you see the sparks fly you can't help but fall in love with them and the gift that they are given at this second chance. The characters are well written and Walker is an awesome book boyfriend. Very sweet story.

Cute but didn't stand out

3 stars — This one started out strong and fun, and then I just lost interest after awhile. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t capture me. I might get *slightly* spoilerish in this review, though nothing a whole bunch of other reviewers haven’t also said.

Part of the problem is that Madison can be kind of a witch with a b. I mean, she was straight up dickish to Walker on multiple occasions, all based on assumptions. And she made some less than flattering comments about hostesses and waitresses wanting to have sex with Walker…but it feels like if I read a romance pre-2016, this becomes a LOT more common. How did we change *this* much already? I mean, yay, but… Besides that, I actually like Madison just fine. I appreciated her passion for her job, I LOVED her friendship with Carrie, and all around she seemed pretty level headed.

Walker, on the other hand? Well, Walker is wrapped up in their romance, so my issues sort of stem from that. He seems cool on his own (not that we know much because the book is entirely in Madison’s POV), but his single minded drive to find Madison and pursue a relationship was…odd. It just didn’t work for me. There really wasn’t much of a romance if I’m being honest. Half the time they are fighting, and the other half is based off some chemistry and a connection from *10* years ago. It was sweet, but it didn’t have legs, you know? I wanted to see them catch up and fall in love NOW. And again…his pursuit and determination bordered on crazy.

Ms. Mallon’s narration was spot on as always for me. I enjoy her voices, her conveyance of emotion, even her snark. And she had all that in this one.

So yeah. Just didn’t stand out for me. I actually stopped paying close enough attention, which would normally have me rewinding like a boss, but I never felt like I was missing enough.

Cute second chance

This was a sweet, fun, cute, and heartwarming second chance romance. I wish we got both POV’s; but it didn’t take away from the story hearing only one side.
Erin Mallon was amazing, I enjoyed listening to her.

Worth a credit?👍🏻

Seeing Stars by J. Sterling is a sweet romance novel about a long lost love that finds its way back to the heart it once knew. Madison feels a spark with singing sensation, Walker Rhodes, but can’t quite figure out why he feels so familiar.

Erin Mallon gives another knock-out performance, so go ahead and use that credit.👍🏻 This one is a breath of fresh air!

Awesome listen

Not sure why it has taken me 3 years to read or listen to this book. It's phenomenal and beautiful and Walker is perfect and Madison is perfect for him. Or doesn't start the way you'd assume...a famous singer with an assumable whoring past. But it's just not him. There is a turn to this plot that just makes the book. It makes it unimaginably sublime.

I really like this narrator. She's got this great voice that allows you to think she was made for the characters. I works one-click any book she reads.

Sweet Love Story

I read this book back in 2014 and have never forgotten it. The characters are all consuming and I love how much love they still have for each other even after being apart for so many years. First love is the purest and if you are lucky enough to hold on to it, what an amazing life to be had.

Bland and predictable

I have never had to make myself finish a book before - trust me, 4 hours feels like a lifetime! if you want an amazing Celeb/civilian story the read "Cake", or slightly less amazing but still funny and entertaining "lick" by kylie Scott
