About this listen

An actress since she was 14 years old, Paige Lockwood finds herself craving a little normalcy after a scandal rocks her otherwise predictable world. With everyone in her life attempting to control her, she takes matters into her own hands and leaves town without so much as a plan or a destination.

But the destination finds her as car trouble forces Paige to settle down in a small Southern town as she waits for repairs. There she meets the handsome, albeit standoffish, Tatum Montgomery, and both of their lives are forever altered as they learn that sometimes when you aren't looking for love, it finds you anyway. The real question is: Can you hold on to it when you're from two completely different worlds?

Absolutely enjoyed the whole story from beginning to end. Great twists and turns (yes, some that are obvious!) but a lovely romance story. Can't wait to read about Quinn's story.

This was an enjoyable book made better by the voice actors. I loved both narrators and will seek out their work in the future.

This is a beautiful stories like the previous one in this series. It has sorrow that leads to better days. Thank you. Not full of sex scenes but more suggestive thoughts and good old fashioned values. The writer has good stories to tell.

Probably the only part that bugged me was the time it took to introduce the MMC. Other then that, great book and well narrated

A good mix of romantic tension and small town country vibes

Really liked the first in the series despite being so short. This one was okay. Not as good a story.

Only okay

I know love stories are as far from reality as you can be, but, the timeline of how quickly the 2 main characters fall in love, left me thinking this is just cheesy.

Unrealistic

got to chapter 10 and pulled up. there was a pace set from the get go and the heroine was portrayed as the grounded rather naive child star grown up, her life tarnished by fame.
the plotline of getting away was plausible but the moment the hero came into play I grimaced. it took off at a sprint...what the hell. ? he only knows her famous persona but within minutes he had possession, sexual obsession and grumpy attraction toward her, then to top it off within hours....yes hours they were bantering like age old friends....he even intrudes on her personal emails.....Insta doesn't even describe this gallop!...nope not for me...it's not like it's 4 hours long like the 1st book....it just didn't work for me.
perhaps a few days of introducing the hero, his background and his feelings would have been better .... at least for me. and the pace could continue in the manner it started.
just love Erin and Jason but I cringed at Jason having to voice the thinking this hero was portrayed as.

the first one was clever , well done albeit short
