Playing road-trip games, avoiding calls from his mother, and effortless conversation keeps us from clockwatching...until the bus breaks down. And my seatmate turns into my copilot as we wrangle a ride in a car three decades old. And hit all the traffic. And oh, Lord, the detours. And somehow I end up careening cross-town on the handlebars of a Citi Bike carrying a box of kittens. (Yeah, don’t ask.)
He’s my hero every step of the way...and I might be falling for him. But what happens when we reach our final destination? Could my seatmate really be my soul mate?

Love it
This is the third story I have listened too from Cara Bastone…
These are light happy stories. I loved the duet style as well.

Please can we have some more 🙏
Third in series and I can't wait for another. After digging into my soul, crying buckets of tears and journeying the world in sagas, dramas, memoirs and burning romances, I search Audible in vain for some pure entertainment....until Cara Bastone and the production team came up with these delights. Witty, fast paced and no longwinded introspect, this story and the other 2 so far have raised the bar. Thankyou.

Utterly Charming
This is truly charming, and I think I was in love with Sam by the end too. Not sure one storyline conclusion is adequately setup to make it feel genuine for us, and I'm not sure I like the final line, but otherwise this is a really enjoyable listen.

Sweet, natural & actually interesting
This is my favourite so far of Audible's various straight-to-audio romantic comedies. The dialogue is sweet, flowing and natural and the cast play their roles perfectly. As the story progresses it deepens & develops showing actual insight and intrigue. It's lovely to spend an afternoon cruising along the road with Sam & Gwen.
