Publisher's Summary

This is a fast moving action-packed story set in a recovering post-apocalyptic US giving it the unique feel of a fusion between sci-fi, western, horror, and war. Clean language. Brutal violence. It is about a man, who as a boy had love for animals, and a growing hatred for fellow humans. He grew up to be an unmanageable misfit and those who had to deal with him in an aggressive manner.

Then in a post-apocalyptic world, long after the demise of the United States, a scientist creates what he believes will be the solution to an age old problem. He breeds a highly aggressive predator that will eliminate agricultural pestilence. But a fatal flaw is discovered in his abhorrent creation, turning his high hope for mankind into a deadly menace. Yet, the scientist is determined to do anything necessary to protect his beloved lab spawn, to the point of madness.

A struggling, hard-working crew finds themselves making even more sacrifices to support themselves. Things seem as if they were going their way, but they never counted on what they were to encounter next; they cross paths with hostile clans and the dreaded scorcs!
