This was a amazing story with fabulous narrator s bring this story to life . You will enjoy every bit of this . Especially on audio . Definitely worth a listen . You will not regret it . if Ms Blakely could create Malones I would advocate to make her a God!!
he is perfect.....too perfect but I'm getting that with most of her books "thatsbhoe she rolls"
I work for an animal protection society so I was smiling all the way through this. the storyline didn't have much to sink your teeth into but I looooooved the narrator's and the singing...it clicked with the plot of this book.
I want to read the next one just for the cast but I'm in need of a gritty storyline so may put book 2 on the backburner......

This thoroughly enjoyable listen was short and sweet but SO worth it. Jason Clarke is my OG favourite male narrator and I didn't think I could love his voice more...until NOW. How have I had this audiobook in my wishlist pile for so long without realising this little fact?! Oh my goodness, he has such a delicious voice. It literally made the entire book! Aside from that, the story was endearing with off-limits lovers, Sloane (Andi Arnt) and Malone (yes, you read that right lol) (Jason Clarke). Malone is a veterinarian (by day, lounge singer by night - SWOON) who is keen to take over the business he runs with his partner Doug...Doug happens to be Sloane's father and is on the road to retirement. S Sloane and Malone had a week-long tryst seven years ago and neither have stopped thinking about it since. Although NYC has a population of approx. 8 million, these two manage to run into each other and reconnect. To complicate things even further, Sloane's animal rescue is moving into Malone and Doug's practice. Doug gave Malone a stern word seven years ago that his daughter was strictly off limits but these two can't keep their eyes, and hands off each other; especially following a bedroom confession made by Sloane leading to some spicy bedroom lessons. Throw in the sweet relationship between Malone and his twin, Truly, supporting narration by Shane East (hello London!) as Jason, cameo by Amanda Ronconi, and you have yourself 6 hours of delightful listening. I don't think I would have liked this book as much if I read a physical copy - the audio really makes it, but it is definitely entertaining. Five stars purely based on Jason's singing!
