This was a amazing story with fabulous narrator s bring this story to life . You will enjoy every bit of this . Especially on audio . Definitely worth a listen . You will not regret it . he is perfect.....too perfect but I'm getting that with most of her books "thatsbhoe she rolls"
I work for an animal protection society so I was smiling all the way through this. the storyline didn't have much to sink your teeth into but I looooooved the narrator's and the singing...it clicked with the plot of this book.
I want to read the next one just for the cast but I'm in need of a gritty storyline so may put book 2 on the backburner......

This thoroughly enjoyable listen was short and sweet but SO worth it. Jason Clarke is my OG favourite male narrator and I didn't think I could love his voice more...until NOW. How have I had this audiobook in my wishlist pile for so long without realising this little fact?! Oh my goodness, he has such a delicious voice. It literally made the entire book! Aside from that, the story was endearing with off-limits lovers, Sloane (Andi Arnt) and Malone (yes, you read that right lol) (Jason Clarke). Malone is a veterinarian (by day, lounge singer by night - SWOON) who is keen to take over the business he runs with his partner Doug...Doug happens to be Sloane's father and is on the road to retirement. S Sloane and Malone had a week-long tryst seven years ago and neither have stopped thinking about it since. Although NYC has a population of approx. 8 million, these two manage to run into each other and reconnect. To complicate things even further, Sloane's animal rescue is moving into Malone and Doug's practice. Doug gave Malone a stern word seven years ago that his daughter was strictly off limits but these two can't keep their eyes, and hands off each other; especially following a bedroom confession made by Sloane leading to some spicy bedroom lessons. Throw in the sweet relationship between Malone and his twin, Truly, supporting narration by Shane East (hello London!) as Jason, cameo by Amanda Ronconi, and you have yourself 6 hours of delightful listening. I don't think I would have liked this book as much if I read a physical copy - the audio really makes it, but it is definitely entertaining. Five stars purely based on Jason's singing!

This story was enjoyable and had other story lines which did not focus on sex. Narration was excellent as you would expect from these professional narrators. Contains extra material which means the story does not go for the stated run time.

Trope - Forbidden Romance / Second Chances
Adult Content i.e. explicity sex scenes & language

I really enjoyed the story of Sloane & Malone and the journey they take to get to their HEA. I found it to be combination of forbidden romance i.e. Sloane is the daughter of Malone's business partner and second chances i.e. the one who got away when Malone found out who Sloane is (read/listen to prequel "Delayed Satisfication" for that story).

I found the sex scenes and language tasteful and fitted perfectly into the story.

I also loved it when characters from the "Big Rock" series made an appears and to discover the relationship that Malone has with those characters. Note, you do not have to have read the Big Rock series to read this book but for me I found it brought a smile to my face when I heard the names of the characters as it made me remember how much I loved that series.

I look forward to continuing the series.

I loved this book! I listened to this book as an audiobook and don’t regret it. Both the female and male narrators have amazing voices and with those voices it is even easier to listen to the emotion of each character. This book is a steamy romance but I also caught myself many times cooing to the storyline with its many cute scenes. This is a story of two old lovers who reunite together, contemplating if all the barriers are worth a love that is so great. I would definitely recommend this book because it is definitely one that I loved!!!

Beautiful story and thankfully not too mush push back from the main characters. Andi and Jason were fantastic. I’m sure they’re the best in the business and I’ve heard over 100 of these audiobooks. Thank you Lauren Blakely. You are amazing and I am a fan. Love your humour and the way you bring the storyline’s together.
