Story
Top three reasons why sleeping with the enemy is a bad idea.... She's my fiercest rival. She's also my fiery ex. We're going up against each other in a stiff competition to win the hottest new client on the market. And yet, I'd like to be up against the wall in a stiff competition to get her to call out my name. Time to double down on my resistance to her tough-as-nails, take-no-prisoners, sexy-as-sin attitude. The same attitude I find irresistible.

Story
All I want for the holidays is the willpower to resist my brother’s sexy, charming, easy-on-the-eyes new business partner. Instead, I'm stuck planning all the holiday parties with the one guy who makes me want to break my dating diet. Who thought that was a good idea? Oh, me. Yep, brilliant, strategic me who raised her hand and said yes I’d love to hang mistletoe with that hot former sports star. (Note to self: Mistletoe leads to toe-curling, knee-weakening kisses.)

Story
Ever hear the story about the bodyguard who falls for the rock star? Yeah, it never ends well. Each day I remind myself that it's my job to protect Stone. And nowhere in the job description does it say I should lust after the charismatic, charming man. Especially since we're opposites. But every night I spend with him the dangerous, off-limits attraction grows more intense. Until one night in a limo when we combust. One time only will have to be enough. One scorching, forbidden night. Because the mistakes from the past are chasing me. And if I give in again, I'll lose everything.

He's my business partner, my good friend, and the man I've craved for years. But I've resisted the sexy Brit, and I plan to keep up my walls because I've been there, done that, and I know how much it hurts when you let someone into your heart. Then an opportunity comes along for us to snag the business deal of a lifetime. The catch? We need to pretend we're married to pull off this high-stakes deal.

Story
Let me make a few things clear. I didn't go to the wedding intending to dance with the best man, to dare him to show me a very sexy pic on his phone, or to accidentally kiss him in the hotel elevator after the reception ended. But you know how it goes. Things just happen at weddings.... The next day, Crosby and I agree to put all those shenanigans behind us. The fun-loving, stupidly gorgeous all-star baseball player might be my brother's best friend, but he's my friend too and has been for years, so it's easy to move on, especially since I have a high-profile business to run.

Let me list the reasons why dating the sexy, charming pro hockey star is a bad idea: He’s one of my closest friends. All our friends are friends. The wounds I’ve got from past relationships go deep. And so do his. We’re both devoutly single - it’s just safer for the heart that way. But there’s no reason not to bid on the gorgeous, clever athlete at the charity auction this weekend. If I win, it’ll be a "friendsdate".

I was only trying to help a friend. I swear. I was legit asking for a friend who was finally ready to date again. So I did what any good friend would do. Posted it for her. It seemed like a good idea at the time - I’d weed through the candidates, and bring her my top picks. But then he responded. Is it wrong to date the guy I screened for my bestie? Not asking for a friend.

When the invitation arrived, it detailed the rules of the masquerade - no names, no identities. I set one more - find a most wicked man for one night. The kind who'll bring me deliciously naughty pleasure in dark corners. But as the clock ticks to midnight, he finds me, whisks me away to a secret alcove, and delivers all that dirty bliss and then some. As the premier best-man-for hire in all of Manhattan, I promise discretion, so when I need a plus one for a couple of "I dos", I turn to my gorgeous, clever, witty best friend’s sister. She’s my good friend, too, and I lust after her completely. I mean, I trust her completely. After all, just look how she’s kept her lips sealed about the hot, multi-O night we spent together. Yes, just look at those sexy lips. In any case, we only fell off the wagon once, and it was months ago. I’m sure we can make it through these weddings without banging each other in the limo. Or can we?

Lucas Xavier is the last person I want to spend 24 hours with, let alone two minutes. Exes are exes for a reason. In his case, for a million reasons. Because he's not only an ex-lover, he's also an ex-friend. We didn't just break up - we combusted in a spectacular bonfire of barbs and doors slammed. Nothing will change that. Not his clever wit, not his ridiculous good looks, not his unfair levels of charm. And definitely not a wild dash through the city that takes us on an accidental scavenger hunt through our past, where we stop for a tango lesson, pancakes and a visit with llamas.

Every man knows there are lines you don't cross. Like this one - don't bang your boss' little sister. Too bad I didn't know sexy, clever, irresistible London is related to the guy who signs my paychecks. Would have been helpful to have that intel before I took her out on that first date, before I kissed her on the beach, before I made plans to take her home that night.

The woman I want is as off-limits as they come. I had an excuse two years ago when I met her on campus. She interviewed me for a story on major league baseball's rising stars, and we shared a hot, passionate night that ended far too soon, and without a mention of who her father was. Now I know the innocent but sexy woman I can’t stop thinking about is the coach's daughter. All the more reason to resist Reese. That ought to be easy enough, until she confesses she's still carrying her V card, and she’s been wanting me to cash it in since the day we met.

I’m a rookie, in every sense of the word. But even though I have a wicked crush on the sexy shortstop on my baseball team, I won’t give in to my fantasies about him. I’m here in the majors for the first time to play ball. Not to experience my first time with a man. Trouble is, Declan Steele is sexy, flirty, and now, he’s my new workout partner. We’re spending mornings together in the gym, getting to know each other. Our connection is powerful—maybe because we each have our fair share of secrets and scars. Ones we'll both fight to protect.

Publisher's Summary
What happens when two frenemies can't stop pushing each other's buttons? Find out in this tender, laugh-out-loud-funny romance from number-one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely, available in audio first!
Never Have I Ever been so infuriated by a man I wanted to kiss.
They say opposites attract, but I beg to differ. Combust is more like it. Because every single time I talk to Zach Nolan, I see red.
The too-good-looking, too-smart, too-effortlessly-charming single dad who works down the hall from me has turned getting under my skin into a sport. Call it the battle of wits between the wedding planner and the divorce attorney.
Trouble is, when we’re forced into closer quarters, planning an engagement party for our best friends, I start to see his other sides.
And I fear I’m falling for the enemy.
***
I’m not out to make friends. My goals are simple - fight till the end for my clients, and my family.
The last thing I need is a vibrant, outgoing, snarky, and surprisingly big-hearted wedding planner to spend my precious free time with...except, watching Piper bond with my daughter just might break down the cinder block walls I’ve built around my heart these last few years.
Second chances don’t come around for guys like me...or do they?

A pleasant surprise!
Not my usual genre but I have to say, I really enjoyed this.
How refreshing to have a romantic relationship develop naturally and in a way that rings true. Yes, they have a little of the typical "friction" at the start, but a more realistic sense of misapprehension rather than an over-the-top "enemies" scenario. I found the way their relationship grew as charming as it is sexy - and it is sexy! Really well written sexy too, I might actually have been a little breathless at one point.
Both performances really great, but yes of course I was really taken with the male narrator.

Zac and Piper
Zac is a divorce lawyer. His wife died and he is a dedicated father to his two children.
Piper is a wedding planner.
They both have offices in the same building on the same floor.
Zac annoys Piper as he keeps telling her whether her clients will make it in the marriage stakes or end up in his office to divorce down the track.
Lucy and Piper become friends.
The story is how Zac and Piper can be together without hurting other people and the kids.

5 fulfilling stars!!! Loved every single utterance
I can't even believe how much I loved this story. Zach is so sweet. He's so insecure. That kiss... oh, you know the one or will when you read/listen to it, GOOD LORD, I FELT that kiss... Wow! Piper and Zach.... they hate each other so, not at all... so much they might just fall in love. I can definitely tell you that I fell in love with them! I was beyond smitten with both main characters and Zach's children. The entire storyline was fantastic... if I wasn't literally laughing out loud, than I had this wistful and happy smile on my face, and I ended the book with tears streaming down my face (no joke)!!!
Jason Clarke had me giggling. I'm in love with the way Jason Clarke narrates little boys and his Bristish accent. I love that at one point wanker was nearly said half a dozen times in this delightfully British voice. I was so obsessed with the way he could change his voice. Now, Amanda Ronconi was fabulous!! I just love her voice. It's upbeat and fun and it's just an overall pleasant and happy voice. I can't help but want to listen to more books with her narration. She's an absolute gem... a peach!!

More Please
Listening to a Lauren Blakely book is like watching your favorite Rom-Com. I say this because she and the narrators are so talented it is as if you are watching the story play out in your head like a movie.
This story is no different I love the Frenemies to lovers, the banter and the one-liners to the wit it’s fun and funny and makes for one heck of an interesting story.
Zach and his past will pull on your heartstrings and Piper and her openness makes you want to root for her. You want them to see each other as something more. I loved the falling in love it is always my favorite part. But also the fact that it wasn’t just them it was also his children and how they are so a part of the story you fall for the whole thing.
Le Sigh I loved it. I loved that Amanda Ronconi and Jason Clarke feel like these characters and not like they are just reading. I loved it 100% hope we get more Amanda in Lauren’s books.

Lauren Blakely has a way with words.
Lauren Blakely has a way with words. It's not what she writes, but the way she presents it. Never Have I Ever finds the smile hiding behind the frustration. Zach and Piper bring out the worst in each other. The wedding planner and the divorce lawyer can't agree on anything. It's an uphill battle until a surprising twist has them seeing each other in a whole new light. Blakely provides the emotion, Clarke and Ronconi add the funny and Piper and Zach give off the heat. Over the top becomes larger than life.

Frenemies to lovers
Is it possible to just float from all the deliciousness of listening to a Lauren Blakely book? Yes, it is especially when it is narrated by Jason Clarke and Amanda Ronconi.
Zach Nolan is 10 kinds of "hot sexy man". He's a shark in the courtroom, he's an A+ single dad and he's an expert in giving his frenemy a hard time.
Piper Radcliff is a wedding planner extraordinaire. She has devoted her life to her business and has little time for love even though that is her business. Her office neighbor and long term frenemy irritates her to no end, that is until he doesn't.
Zach and Piper have a wonderful build up with all their banter back and forth and with them being friends in the same circle as well as sharing an office when their built up attraction finally explodes it is game on. Oh yes, this all begins with the game Never Have I Ever. Truths can be revealed in an innocent game or maybe it's not so innocent after all.
This audiobook is amazing. The story is fantastic. There is snarky back and forth, fireworks attractions, tender love, family, friends, and just living life in the best ways possible. Then add on the added bonus of getting to listen to Jason Clarke and Amanda Ronconi and it is a win win all the way.
I received an early copy of the audiobook to listen and review and give my honest opinion. This is a definite 5 stars for me. Love the story, and the narration is perfect.

Finally — A Couple Who Communicates
This might be the first book ever that didn’t have the couple breaking up in the middle — or towards the end — because of a misunderstanding or failure to communicate. How incredibly refreshing!! Zach and Piper and great together — and Zach as a Dad is wonderful. As a single parent, it’s nice to see the struggle we all feel with guilt over not being there for our kids 24/7. Thank you Lauren, I love all of your books, but this might be my favorite.

I'm still swooning...
Never have I ever been disappointed with a Lauren Blakely book-and this one? This one is hands down one of my favorites. Frenemies to lovers and a single dad? Yes, please! This book made me smile and swoon and even brought me to tears.
Piper and Zach were an absolute delight to get to know. They're part of the same group of friends, but not exactly friendly initially which just made their interactions that much more fun. The banter between them had me smiling, and the way their relationship evolved just felt so natural and organic. I fell for Zach before Piper did; he just absolutely had my heart from the very start. These characters felt real and like people I would want to hang out with-so I'm ready to join their group of friends.
As mentioned above, Zach is a single dad. The interactions he has with his kids in this book were so incredible. I loved watching him figure out how to balance everyone and their needs-including his own. He's smart, sexy and has a sweet side that just made me melt. Piper is much the same way-and her kind and giving heart just made me smile.
The writing of this book is just superb. It's witty and fun and it just flows perfectly. I personally love how this Author weaves in characters (and places!) we've met before, but this is absolutely enjoyable as a standalone.
These narrators brought this book to life for me. I adore Jason Clarke (who doesn't) and I love all of his different tones and inflections for different characters. Amanda Ronconi was newer to me but her timing and tone were just impeccable. These two played off each other seamlessly and just were delightful to listen to. I didn't want to stop listening to this story!
I would honestly give this more stars for both the performance and the story if I could. I truly believe these narrators nailed these characters and brought them to life so very well. As for the story, I said before and I'll say again that this is one of my favorite Lauren Blakely books. This is heart, humor and heat with a side of sweet. I loved it and can't wait to listen again.

Spicy, addictive, and intriguing!
Never Have I Ever is a hilarious, alluring, enemies-to-more romance that introduces us to the sweet, sassy, charming Piper who spends her days making brides happy and fairy tale weddings come true, and the intelligent, sharp, confident, divorce lawyer Zach who after losing the first love of his life is content to fill his days battling for his clients and spending time with his children.
The writing is titillating and fun. The characters are appealing, gregarious, and witty. And the plot is a sultry, push-pull tale full of red-hot chemistry, flirty banter, sexual innuendoes, tender moments, friendship, family, and unconditional love.
I have always been a fan of Lauren Blakely, and Never Have I Ever has just become one of my favourites. I loved the characters, I loved the storyline, and I loved the dual narration by Ronconi and Clarke. This story is an Audible Original title and is available now for free with any Audible Escape subscription.

Loved this delightful frenemies to lovers romance!
I loved this delightful frenemies to lovers romance! It was so sweet, touching, and steamy. Zach and Piper were acquaintances in college, having the same group of friends. Ten years later they continue to hang with the same friends, are both successful and work in the same building. They have always been like fire and ice, exchanging barbs whenever they are together. But all of a sudden, their taunts have become more fun and fiery, adding fuel to their growing sexual tension. They both have things in their pasts that make it hard for them to know how to handle these powerful new feelings. But between Zach's adorable children, and their fun, loving and supportive friends, that won't be a problem for long. Zach with his kind and gentle nature and his devotion to his kids, first and foremost, then to his family, friends, and clients, makes him so swoony and my favorite hero! Put them together and I am totally in love with Zach and Piper! They are both strong, witty, and caring people, and their chemistry and passion is off the charts. The narration by Jason Clarke, and Amanda Ronconi, is truly one to savor. Their comedic timing is impeccable, delivering Blakely's signature witty banter flawlessly. Their voice changes were so compelling, including the young children, and they easily made me feel all the turmoil, fun, and passion between these characters. I loved this unique, refreshing, witty romance, with mind melds, firsts, lists, and letters being some of my favorite highlights that brought me to tears, made me swoon, and laughing out loud. Blakely continues to create hilarious, touching, and hot and sexy romances that capture my heart and Clarke and Ronconi helped make Never Have I Ever a masterpiece!

One of my all-time favourite Lauren Blakely books
Never Have I Ever had so many things I wanted to say and yet, the words are just stuck. How many times can I say the word awesome in a review? I mean, I wouldn't be wrong, because this book is awesome, but I need to be a little more articulate than that. So, here goes…ramblings by Kelly LOL.
Once again, Lauren Blakely hits it out of the park. With Never Have I Ever, Lauren brings depth to her classic rom-com style. Don't worry, I'm not talking Unbreak My Heart type depth, sheesh, I'm still not over that. But Zach is a single father and the way he navigates that gives the story an extra depth that it wouldn't have had without it. A vulnerability. It made him likeable. Sweet. I might have developed a crush...oh well, in my defence, he's the sweetest dad ever, how could I not? But my crush wasn't limited to just him though, I'm an equal opportunities crusher and Piper got the crush treatment too. I just loved how they were together. The chemistry was palpable from the get-go and it never let up. The back and forth with the jibes was hilarious, I’m a huge fan of banter and I thought theirs was some of the best I’ve listened to recently. Once they finally gave in to their desire, holy mackerel! it was explosive. And did somebody say they wanted steam? Because, I swear, my windows started to condense with the heat level. Zach has a dirty mouth (Thank you, Goddess Lauren). This book is sexy and sweet and swoony. Yes, all the Ss again. But, it's also super funny and has some emotional moments, some of the scenes with the kids were killer—this emotional girl just couldn't handle it. But it just gave the book that much more of a heck yeah from me. Lucy is the sweetest ten-year-old and I dare you not to tear up with a particular scene with her. And Henry is a cutie seven-year-old that you just want to hug all day every day. The way Piper was with them was the icing on the cake, and once again proved that biology doesn't make a family, love does.
Lauren is the freaking Queen of audiobook casting. She always finds the perfect voices for her characters and is willing to introduce her listeners to narrators they may not have heard before. She doesn't just stick with the popular ones—not that there is anything wrong with that—she's an advocate for new talent...even if that's a new talent to you. And I love her for it. I cannot wait to see what she has in store next.
I would love…I’m begging, on my hands and knees, (okay, full disclosure, I'm sat on the bed, but it sounded good, right?) for Lauren to write a full story, or at least a novella, for Piper's sister, Paige (if this exists and I’ve missed it somebody better tell me right freaking now!). It's a topic close to my heart and I was so happy to have that included and be painted in a good light, that I'd love to see it expanded upon. There were several threads that would make great stories...or that are already available to read/ listen to, or that I know are coming. Exciting times for LB fans.
I have listened to many Jason Clarke audiobooks. I adore his narrations and have for several years, yes folks, before we knew what he looked like I was swooning over his voice, what I can say? I have good taste. So, I knew I was going to enjoy his performance, but I was actually surprised at how much I adored this particular performance. He delivered the perfect balance of sweet, caring dad, and top-notch lawyer, with a penchant for winding up his frenemy. The exchanges between Zach and Piper where hilarious, and once they started the move from enemies to friends, and then more, gah! It was everything, Jason performed it all to a T, and the vulnerability Zach had shone through. There were several scenes with the children that were fantastic, and one that gutted me. I know, I know, I'm too emotional. But you try and not be affected when you're an emotional person and the voice actor is killing it with the emotion and kid voices, I can only survive so much. He just nailed it all and it was fantastic. And exactly why he is so sought after.
I've never listened to Amanda Ronconi before, so, I'll admit, I was a little nervous. I'm a picky listener, that is not new information, I like what I like and if I don’t like it, well, yeah, that sucks but honesty is always key. I don't always follow the narrator trends. But I have a question. Why the heck has nobody been shouting about this particular narrator? Have they and I missed it? Then why did nobody make me pay attention? She was absolutely bloody brilliant. I need to go and purchase all the books she's worked on— I do own a couple, as it turns out, yay—because I need more of her awesomeness in my ears. Amanda was perfectly cast as Piper, she had the sweet, girl next door, type of vibe, but, could and would stand her ground and pull punches with the best of them, and that shone through beautifully in the performance. The way she switched from each character flawlessly was astounding. I couldn’t get enough.
I think this was the first time that Jason and Amanda have teamed up on an audiobook, and I have to say, it needs to happen again, and stat! Their voices blend so well. The change of character PoV wasn't drastic. It felt like an easy transition for the listener. They both can carry a British accent too, which, as we all know, is something of a stumbling block for this Brit, when she listens. I honestly can't say enough about the quality of the performances, if, for no other reason than the amazing narration, you should listen to this audiobook. The production was great too, with no noticeable issues. I also just want to add that the running time of this audiobook is ALL this book. No sneak peeks, no bonuses, it's all the story and I loved that. I loved that I got to spend over 8 hours with these characters and in their world, not to mention enjoying the voice talent of these particular actors.

Full of ignored red flags
I worry about this type of book as it’s yet another grooming of women to convince us that love conquers all. I work with domestic abuse survivors and there are many red flags here couched in syrup. The first is ownership: a partner or potential partner who thinks they are entitled and that you are property is not displaying caring or love - it is ownership. Someone insanely jealous is not demonstrating love, they are marking their territory. What can be mistaken as love in the early stages of the relationship often turns to abuse and control later on, when you are too far down the line to extricate yourself.
And in real life, selfish bast*rd’s with no hearts don’t melt and blossom with the love of a good woman - these are myths deliberately told to make women compliant and hopeful. Leopards do not change their spots. Listen to the red flags - people usually tell us who they are in the early stages of relationships, but sadly hope usually triumphs over common sense: so if someone tells you who they are, LISTEN!
If the author, (or anyone else) wants to learn more, I’d recommend Lundy Bancroft’s book, ‘Why does he do that.’ highly informative. I wish every girl and young woman was armed with that knowledge, it would save more heartache than most people could imagine.

perfect mix of steamy and pure sweetness
A lot of romance stories have a big breakup/obstacle towards the end before the big finish which tends to make the story a bit angsty... this is different, it has obstacles but this is just a beautiful story, steamy in places but just an overall sweet, heart warming story. love it.

Loved it
I so liked the narrators. Really great job.
I think it would be even better to hear next time on dialogs to be used male and female voices accordingly. It would be nicer to hear a man talking instead of a woman going baritone trining to cover the male dialogues, which sometimes is funny.
All in all was a great read so I strongly recommend it.

I listened to this primarily because of Jason Clarke. Is there a better reason?
But it has become one of my favourites,
The characters come to life thanks to excellent writing and narration. The kids are adorable
