About this listen

The price for saving the world is the right to rule it.

After saving a faraway world, Lyn Rivers was cast back to Earth. Wanting the admiration, prestige, and glory of saving that world, she forced her way back.

But she was forgotten, and someone else claimed credit for her deeds.

Now, with the power of a deity of destruction, she desires nothing more than to claim her place in history. To do that she will conquer dungeons, make alliances, destroy kingdoms, and build an empire.

After all, why ruin the world when you can bend it to your will?

There is a truly large number of characters in the novel, most of which are PoV characters.I do not remember any of their names in the 10 hours of listen time that I spent. Only some of their "hero cores" I would also not remember the name of the main character if she wasnt egotistical and shallow enough to refer to herself in 3rd person multiple times.

None of the support cast for the main character has realistic goals for the reason behind why they are following the mc. And the fact that she essentially had sexual imtercourse by abusing power dynamics to her supporting cast within 1 day of meeting does not make her endearing, and the fact that none of the characters, including said supporting cast not acknowledging this makes me think that the author did not realize this.

For the other heroes, all of their struggles are told, and not shown and none of their characters really signed through in their multiple PoV chapters.

It is essentially a power fantasy novel with not much going for it but it is not "horrible" by self publish standards.

Cant care about any of the characters.

Not sure what I was expecting as this came up in a email for another story update but I tried it anyway. It was great and I’m ready for book 2.
Bit of a shock at the amount of sex and torture as I wasn’t expecting it at all X) nothing wrong with it, just don’t think I’ve seen that with a female mc in a isekai before.

Only thing of note that bugged me was around chapter 61 where she did some underwater training but completely forgot she had that rebreather, I can’t remember if she got it before or after the water dungeon also.

I also wasn’t expecting the abuse to get that bad for her, it started out referencing verbal abuse then went full ballistic to the max :( , and last you hear is them arriving nude and her covered in bruises.
God why is it another fic that has to have that done to the female mc. Probably the reason why I did 4/5 for the story.

But other than that whole mess, I’m really looking forward to the next book. But that’s a tomorrow thing.

Great story. Thanks.

I tried to like it but I just couldn't. Even for an OP anti-hero mc they come off as unlikable and weak willed. The story itself felt disjointed. It may appeal to some but i just couldn't.

Boring
