Publisher's Summary

As a former con artist, I love a convoluted, mind-bending scheme as much as the next guy. But as a recently promoted MagiPol agent, I love it significantly less than that guy.

Especially when the life of a kidnapped teen hangs in the balance.

Between confusing orders and conflicting evidence, this whole investigation has me and my partner, Lienna, spinning in circles. Why is our boss keeping this case off the books? Why is our top suspect, the most notorious rogue in Vancouver, mired in contradictions? And why am I the only one who cares more about the victim than their own ulterior motives?

Everyone wants me to shut up and follow orders, but that's not my style. I'll do whatever it takes to save this kid - even if that means returning to my roguish roots.

Another great series in the guild codex world.

Kit is one of my favourite characters in all of the guild codex series's, he is such a crack up. As much as I like his chemistry with Lienna, I loved it more with Zak - The Ghost. When these two had scenes I was laughing so hard, I hope we get more time with these 2 in future books. This is my favourite in the series so far & cannot wait for more.

Decent, enjoyable with some weak spots.

In these spin off series it gets a bit boring rehashing past events. We've already done Zach/The Ghost being misconstrued as an evil kidnapper & then being revealed as actually saving these kids from bad home situations. Blah blah. The new material is good but I don't need to hear what every character thought about past events that were previously explored in detail. Still I'll keep listening as the bones are good & Kit is sweet.

Getting better

This series is getting better, the performance was better and the story is getting more exciting. Loved the cameos of characters that I know and love. I am actually now looking forward to the next book.

Good story with great narration

Enjoyed it. The main characters need a little more development, and a little backstory on the captain and others would be helpful, but it is improving with each book. Will definitely get the next book. The narrator is very good!

Much Better

The previous book had me a little bored, but this dove right back into the Kit's story, finally beginning to get to the answers we had from Tori's and Robin's stories. Still not there, but what intriguing side views, I am highly anticipating the next Warped book!

Always 5 stars

Thank you for keeping the story lines coming. I love how it ties into the guild codex and then I’m like wait a minute I didn’t see that coming

Rogue Ghosts and other Miscreants

Ok so I am an older ie 70 fan of Annette Maries books, she uses good description and over all the reads are relaxing and fun.
What did not work, was a male straight character, going on and on about how attractive the Crystal Druid ie Zack is, it just was off putting, straight guys do not do that,.
Had the book been narrated other than first person it would have been ok , it rang false from then on. It gets an ok but way not as good as the Crystal Druid….which was edgy and fun .

Seamlessly intertwines with the Guild Codex World

If I've said it once, then I've said it two times, this writing duo has cracked the code to Urban Fantasy. Rogue Ghost seamlessly intertwines with the other series. Characters from other series come through the story and you're able to recall these scenes from the other perspective.

In this installment, Kit has to come to terms with positive and negative impact that his magic has on others. You actually feel him grow in maturity. Sike, he is still as silly and funny as ever.
The romantic portions aren't forced and you're able to get to know the characters as they get to know each other.

Narration by Iggy Toma is excellent!

For me, it's a perfect story.

another good book

I didn't think I would like a male narrator but Iggy Toma is marvelous. can hardly wait for the next book to come out.
