About this listen

Stella Gunn is the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Blue Moon Gypsies, and Stella used to be Mace’s girl. But Kai “Mace” Mason broke up with her and the loss of him rocked her world. One night, Stella gets a call, late (again), from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot. Mace finds he doesn’t like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot right in front of him, but it’s worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet, and all the Rock Chicks are in the firing line. Stella doesn’t want Mace to be the one to keep her alive, but she has no choice. Mainly because Mace isn’t giving her one.

If you plan on listening to the last two books in the series DO NOT listen to the epilogue in this book. The epilogue was written as if Kristen Ashley was finishing the series at this point - so it made it super hard for me to get into the last two books - even though they are amazing!!!

Beware the epilogue!!!

Do yourself a favour and AFTER this book, stop here and go and listen to the Colorado mountain series - if you go into to Kristen Ashley’s website and look at reading order this will make sense. This is a good place to stop to understand the cross over we see in Ali’s book. Then come back in to Saddies story in book 7 and continue with the series (including Deris and Lottie’s story in the rock chick/1001 dark nights books)
Stella’s story - loved it. This is one of my fav’s in the series, Stella is down to earth, loves life, the high of performing and being with her fans and showing her heart through the lyrics she shares. Who else would be good enough for bad boy Mace, who underneath the hard exterior he had to build up to get through a rough life, has a heart of gold. Loved it. As always - highs, lows, laughs, tears, action and romance. Narrator did a great job, especially with Stella’s husky voice and distinct voices for all other characters we previously met in the series. Highly recommend.

One of my favs
