This is a delightful & humorous tale with the perfect amount of romance. Witty heroine & great assortment of supporting characters. Narration is wonderful & nice to listen too. The best thing I’ve listened to in ages. Hope to see more from this author on Audible soon.

A good reader, the story is witty and makes it a very enjoyable book

This story was a surprising gem…humorous, fun and engaging. The Millicent/North persona shines throughout and I enjoyed the organic development of friendship to romance with the Duke. The narrator (x1.1 speed) gave a wonderful performance bringing an array of characters to life, whilst the plot unfolded nicely with the various scenarios to keep me interested and looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend.

Unexpectedly superb

I liked the mix of characters, Mildred becoming North, deluding the whole Ton, including her friend. I loved North’s wit . I loved the development of Beth, so much so that she was able to stand up to her dragon of a grandmother.
The ending had elements of surprise with the predictable conclusion.
