I mostly enjoyed the first book. But as the story develops t the end of the first book (which is repeated I. The opening g of the second book) is a bit weird. There are numerous flaws in the story: no mention of nanites or their effect; a focus on ‘forging’ equipment; the ship is unarmed and yet some mounted weapons are apparently sufficient …

Ok story but found it frustratingly inconsistent, how can he heal in 2 mins from near death one minute then take days to wake from a small concussion…. Fjrst book was good, wouldn’t bother with the second.
