Push through the beginning it's worth it
So the first half felt like an Ego stroke by the author Jaymin Eve. It is petty, childish, with lots of swearing and i almost gave up. Then the story got creative and I enjoyed it. Twists you don't expect and I couldn't stop listening. Push through the first half it's worth it

Great story. Wanted it to nice quicker
I really enjoyed this book but did want some of the relationships to develop a little quicker. The female narrator is amazing. The male sounded a little old and didn’t embrace the characters like I would have expected. But overall I thought it was a great book and am definitely going to read the next one

FMC is badass, and MMC is grumpy and growly
Book 1 of 3 and a great I production to the story, world, and characters.
This is my first book by Jaymin, and I really enjoyed her writing style. It kept me turning pages, and I devoured this book quickly. Ending on a cliffhanger, I was keen to get to book 2 straight away.
Now to the characters. Mera has been at the mercy of her pack after her father attempts to kill the alpha. She's waiting until she can shift for the first time before leaving the pack for good. Through in a true mate rejection, some angst from feelings by one of the pack's beta in waiting and the final ingredient of the Shadow Beast.
Mera is a fun, sassy, and badass FMC. She gives as good as she gets and drives those trying to control her crazy.
The MMC...whoa. He's so growly and grumpy.
I can't wait to jump straight into book 2.
I read on Kindle and read along with Audible. The two voice actors were perfect, and the growl was so on point. Audio is in duet style and just perfect.

I really enjoyed this book
this story was quite outside the box when it's comes to shifter stories. I Felt the slow burn between Mera and shadow was a little to slow but I am definitely looking forward to the next story.
The performance of the story was fantastic! I really enjoyed the idea of a male and female narration. it just made the story that little bit more interesting.

Really good
Mera is a wolf shifter who is tormented by nearly her whole pack because of a mistake that her father made that cost him his life. When she believes she is about to die strange things happen and the lives of everyone are about to change forever. Enter Shadow Beast who created wolf shifters and he takes Mera with him killing the pack alpha on the way out. Theirs is an intense relationship and Shadow learns quickly that there is much more to Mera than meets the eye and after years of abuse she isn’t in the least afraid of him like everyone else. It’s an interesting story that kept me engrossed to the end and I am off to get the second book now.
