This was a good start to the series. Engaging enough to move to the next title. I had trouble with the male narrator… sounded like an older man, rather than a hot god. Voice didn’t match the character. Female voice was spot on.

Mera and Shadow’s adventures continue as their growing bond does as well. Mera helps Shadow deal with issues pertaining to the Shadow World and along the way they fall for each other in a big way. As the story unfolds there are surprises a plenty and some scorching hot sexual interactions between our main characters and just when you think things have reached a crescendo another curveball is thrown into the mix and you are left wanting to know where it goes next. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole because the story firmly held my interest from beginning to end. I like a story with supernatural content, hot sex, humour and action a plenty and it is delivered in spades in this book and the series in general. Now off to the third book and conclusion to the series.
