A Warhammer 40,000 Novel

Night has fallen on the prison world of Zartak. Renegades from the Imperium's dawn stalk the complex, delivering pain and death. Yet something just as dangerous awaits them: the brutal, predatory, but ultimately loyal Space Marine Chapter known as the Carcharodons.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a gripping tale, as stalking Night Lords face the Imperium's most predatory Space Marines in a darkened prison – with wardens and convicts caught in the middle.

THE STORY

On the prison world of Zartak, darkness has fallen on arbitrators and inmates alike. The Night Lords have come, bringing with them the shadow of fear and pain. But these monsters are not the only ones with an interest in Zartak. From the void, running on silent, another fleet emerges.

These Space Marine warriors are grey-clad and white-faced, and their eyes are as black as the Outer Dark – the savage Carcharodon Astra. As two packs of ancient, merciless predators stalk the shadows of the prison colony, both seeking a single young inmate with unnatural talents, the corridors run red, and both factions will have to fight tooth and claw to leave Zartak alive.

The Carcharodon Astra are one of the most intriguing successor chapters of all Adeptus Astartes and provide rich source material for this work.

The story itself is interesting and engaging and crafts a narrative that appropriately reflects the ‘esprit de corps’ of the two belligerent chapters, The Night Lords and the Carcharodon Astra.

The narrator’s performance has an understated quality that suits the bombastic kitsch of the Horus Heresy and 40K world.
Being a complete nerd for Warhammer 40K and the Carcharodon’s especially, I was slightly worried coming into the novel that expanding on their lore would somehow detract from their mystique, however I can report dear reader that my fears were unnecessary.
Red Tithe is a great story in and of itself and a worthy entry into the lore of both my favourite Astartes Chapter (Carcharodons) and the suitably evil and bloodthirsty Night Lords.

Read it my fellow nerds! It’s a good one!

An auspicious addition to Carcharodon lore.

the performance was well done by the narrator and the story was fantastic, the carcharydon chapter is very interesting and their references to islander and mauri culture was super different than most other chapters

interesting chapter

energetic and entertaining to a detriment. the speed at which the narrator changes situations and locations was poorly paced and left me realing trying to figure out when and where the story was.

A confusing series of events and people

Charcharadons vs Night Lords, nuff said!
If you enjoy bolter heavy stories that are filled with interesting and unique characters then this book is for you. Really well written, interesting space marine chapter and excellent bad guys. Is the story super amazing? Not really, its basically space marine vs space marine in a cool battle ground, but it's still really fun!
Hopefully GW brings out more space shark stories, they have a really cool culture and theme.

Clash of the Titans!

A brilliantly narrated story by Shogo, who added the dry calculas of the Carvaradons and cruel humour of the Night Lords.

Damn Fine Entry
