As with all of Anne McCaffrey’s books, this was a great story. It is also one I had not yet read, as a teenager/young adult, when I first found them in my high school library. It filled the information/story gap between Landing (1st fall) & Moreta’s story showing how the Pernese gradually lost access to technology & retreated to the low tech levels of Dragonflight. I’m happy it was unabridged & would love to be able to listen to ALL of Anne’s books unabridged, as there are few of her series I haven’t enjoyed in hard copy.
