About this listen
Twenty years ago a man made a child he never intended to love. Ten years ago the world ended, and Emma turned her back on the man she believed was her father in an attempt to survive. Eight weeks ago she discovered the truth about her family, including the sister she never knew she had. Last week she had her heart broken by the one man she never imagined giving it to. Yesterday she turned her back on those she cared for in an attempt to help them survive. Today she plans on hunting two men to the ends of the broken Earth. Not to save the world. Not to make the world a better place. Tomorrow she plans on getting revenge.

The only thing I enjoyed was the narrator.
With this series, I was met with moody teenagers & yound adult who hated most adults, because as usual, the adults were to blame for societies collapse.
Don't even get me started on the possessive love triangle that ended in the most predictable way, as well as young men and women constantly fawning over each other, regardless of substantial age gaps.
The story itself didn't have enough substance, The author rushed through the most important parts, and didn't give enough scope to the kind of character growth that actually matters in post-apocalyptic stories. I felt that the drama between characters was more important to the author than how they were navigating through the world they were faced with.
and and the way she wrapped it all up...I can tell that she was rushing it. again, zero depth.
Al-in-all, the "Born" series was pretty lacklustre, But if you're into petty, teen drama, them havw at it. It was just disappointing to me.
"Born" series - Not sure it lived up to its potential (if it had any)
