The UFS Phoenix embarks on a dangerous quest for the AI Ceephay Queen who rules at the heart of the Reeh Empire. I’ve been following this series since book 1. Somehow, and it’s a credit to the author, that as the scope has expanded and the stakes have been raised, I get as much satisfaction from the interplay and growth that the main characters show over the series. There’s a moment between Trace and Eric that, when you get to it, is like a punch in the gut but in a good way, and there’s a soul to this series that is incredibly rare in SciFi. A must read.
