Publisher's Summary

Asher is a man who defines contradiction. A man who rebelled against his billionaire father by joining the underground club scene but then went on to become a Harvard graduate and a well-decorated Navy SEAL. And now, as a member of the elite Walk Security team, he's a chameleon who is as comfortable in a suit and tie as he is in a leather jacket.

He's also a man who will never want just one woman. Until Sierra. She is beautiful, tough, and clearly running from someone or something. She tries to run from him, but Asher knows what he wants, and what he wants is her. And he'll kiss every soft, sweet, delicious spot on her body to make sure she knows just how much.

Their passion is wicked hot. Her secrets are wicked dangerous.

Let the games begin.

Twists and turns!

Just when I thought Kyle was my pick of the Walker Security men, I get to listen to Asher! The men of Walker Security are overly protective of their women, and Asher doesn't get it...until he meets Sierra. Sierra is running from her powerful, dangerous husband and does her best to keep her identity a secret. But with a man like Asher around, it is impossible to to keep running. This book, from the very beginning is full of intrigue and suspense. The new characters of Jacob, Adam(and even Rick) are welcome additions to the security team and with expertise like these men have, Sierra has nothing to fear. Or does she? I love the crossovers of all the characters, Lisa Renee Jones has given this such a warm, family feel and still keeps the strength and courage flowing through. The women all have the spunk and sass as well as being intuitive and smart, each bringing their own expertise to the crew as well as keeping the men real. This series is so much fun, I can't wait for the next one.

Dual narration of this by Muffy Newtown and Lance Greenfield was nothing short of amazing. Newtown always brings her best, her voices give the fiercely passionate Sierra the strength to get through her obstacles. Greenfield has a gruffness and rugged sound to his voice that is so male that it fits Asher to a tee. Perfect for the Walker men too, the two together make Pulled Under my favorite of the series.

Did not finish

It had potential but I couldn't continue. Narration was good. It was the story line about a scared woman hiding from everyone including her dangerous past. Then all of a sudden she meets a sexy bartender. She then decides to be the hero for him ... all in what appears to be in a week's time. How does she get brave forgetting the danger she was running from? Plot too silly for me. I'm glad I didn't use a credit. Even with the romance package, I couldn't finish. I like the author just not this story or maybe it was just me.

Not recommended weak storyline

Love the Narrators. Muffy. Please skip southern accent . You have a great acting voice otherwise.
Love Lance as always.

The heroine drove me absolutely insane!

How many times can a person whine about having an elite team of security professionals wanting to protect her? If her constant worrying was cut in half, the book would have been 2 hours shorter!

The other books of this series were much better.

Please stop!

I’ve listen to so many LRJ books. Couldn’t even finish this. The male narrator speaks in such Batman/Adam West overkill that I could hardly know whether to laugh or cry. No storyline is worth this torture.

This book was a little disappointing.

This story reminded me of the Careless Whispers series. It was distracting to me. Also, why was Sierra's voice so breathy. This strong, capable, smart woman sounded like a sex kitten to me. I like this author, have read or listened to most of her books. This one just didn't do it for me.

Cute story

The story was cute, fan of the characters. One bit of feedback for the narration as I’ve listened to the Walker Security books in order is that the male narrator was inconsistent in how he pronounced Kara’s name.

Double Trouble

Poor Sierra is a magnet for evil men. Luckily she has not only a hot alpha but his entire team to back her up and help her step out into the light again.

4.5 action packed ⭐

What an action packed ride! LRJ packs a lot into this one with dual plot lines involving a woman running from an abusive ex and a serial killer on the loose. Then ties them together when the killer takes an interest in the running woman too. But LRJ did a great job of taking improbable circumstances and adding real stakes, high tension, a sexy alpha hero who was much more nuanced than his caveman impulses and a heroine who despite being terrified and running from a tough situation would let herself be a doormat. Add in a great cast of supporting characters and this was a very entertaining listen. The narration by Lance Greenfield was spot on. He totally embodied Asher's hard edged warrior persona and the soft center he discovered he had for Sierra. Muffy Newtown also did a good job with her part though I was a bit confused by her accent choice which seemed to have a mild lilt of the South even though I thought her character was supposed to be from Colorado. But that's just a minor nitpicky detail. It was still a good listen. I'm gonna have to go back and check out the Walker brothers' backstories now from previous books since I enjoyed the supporting characters so much.
