Not about public speaking

This is a very boring and very basic book about confidence and self worth. Just horrible.

Fantastic and amazing

Like many of us, speaking in front of others has never been my strong suit. I have long believed that some of us simply are not the "type" to be able to speak in front of a group with skill and poise. After reading this book, I am certain that I can grow in this area and become the competent and self-assured speaker that I've desired to be.

I like this book.

I keep going back through chapters and rereading them but the goal of the book is repeated throughout as well as multiple ways to create a better speaker of yourself. Lots of good info to use and I definitely see why they’ve described the tips as they did

This was a great book.

This is by far one of the best books I have read on public speaking. This book lays out the fundamentals of speaking in public. It has tactics for dealing with fear and public speaking nerves. Well organized and masterfully crafted into a quick reference guide that anyone can pick up and learn something from. I would recommend it for acknowledged speakers and newbies a like.

The other day I was going to a talk by the famed AI pioneer and venture investor Dr. Kai-fu Lee here in Hangzhou, China, and I told excitedly my colleagues about the pending talk

Nothing new here

The information is not particularly surprising or entertaining. Don't feel I've learned anything I don't already know. "find your voice" is a far more useful book than this one

This was a great book.

This book did have some good ideas and insights for public speaking yet the book was described like an actual primer for giving a Ted Talk, but frankly most will never have the chance. So making this even more about public speaking using tools would make this book even better.

I got asked to be the headline speaker at a major industry conference. I have been terrified of public speaking my entire life. This book helped me craft a great presentation and its advice gave me the confidence to deliver my talk with remarkable success.

The most rewarding

this book is full of invaluable advice and plenty of "wrong-way vs. right way" examples, many so subtle they'd escape our notice. This will help hone the refinements that can elevate the adequate to spectacular.

Great practical advice for sure. But more importantly, a manifesto on the importance of speech and the spreading of ideas to create a better world.

Favorite book

When I started listening, I found the going a little slow and was tempted to abandon and move to the next book. But I’m so glad that I persisted. Once I crossed the 50% mark, things got really interesting and I found it hard to put down the book. From treating public speaking as a necessary evil, I have moved to looking at public speaking as an opportunity to communicate an idea.
