Publisher's Summary

This book begins with King Solomon's reign and ends just before Jesus' birth, but don't expect to hear an historical record as in a textbook. This is history read as God's master plan, and He knows exactly what He's doing.

Prophets and Kings is volume two of a five-volume set that covers human history from the beginning of our time and on into the future.

Sweeping Biblical Epic

Prophets and Kings is a masterful and sweeping epic of Israel's history, from Solomon to the last Old Testament prophets. The author's grasp of the varied themes is truly impressive and she brings out practical spiritual lessons that can promote spiritual growth.

Does not work Amazon's Audible app

Bought it in audible where it worked fine as I combined audible with my Amazon app account and downloaded it to the Amazon's Audible app, it stop working. I can't even get it to start. In fact none of the books I bought in audible work with the Amazon's Audible app.

Not as presented

This audi book reads like the author just took the bible with minimum additional research. He pesents it as a modern day sermon. I felt as if I were a fundimentalist church with God and religion as the answer to everyting. Not was I was expecting, struggled throught the first part and could not continue with rest.

Rip off!!

This was a big disappointment. It was seriously the worse paraphrase of the Bible, read in the worse way. One would get a lot more out of reading (or listening to) the actual books of the Bible in just about any translation. It does nothing to dramatize, nothing to add depth or insight, nothing to enhance comprehension.
