Story
The Great Controversy is the story of how the forces of good triumph over the forces of evil. The story picks up with the destruction of Jerusalem and continues down the ages to the present. It is a story of truth and how it was lost by many, but not all then gradually rediscovered by the broader Christian community through the Reformation. It climaxes with the eschaton and delineates how we in the present can navigate the final moments of earth's history.

Inspiring and Uplifting
This is an absolute must for anyone looking to understand the life and works of the apostles. It tells of the hardships that they had and make the gospel more real. It definetively gave me a broader perspective of what the Bible says.

Great book, poorly divided for navigating chapters
I've got the full 5 book set, and I don't mind the narrator, or even his occasional mispronunciations. The content is good, and provides a humanizing commentary to the stories we only normally read in King James English in the Bible.
What I don't like is the chapter split and numbering. It's broken into sections that don't match chapters. If you loose your place, fall asleep listening to the reading and try to find the last place you listened, you're likely to be very frustrated. That's a major defect for me. I like the books, but will look for other providers. I've found other readers, that are worse, with better chapter breaks. Still looking for the right combo.

Great reading of a classic.
Eddie Hernandez does a good job reading this classic work on the early church. The only thing that would make this book better would be to delete the music between chapters. It’s just unnecessary, and a bit distracting.

Read it yourself, you'll get better emotion
What did you like best about The Acts of the Apostles? What did you like least?
I love the book The Acts of the Apostles, it's a beautiful book with great information. I bought the audible version thinking I could have something to listen to on my commute. His lackluster performance was beastly.
Would you be willing to try another one of Eddie Hernandez’s performances?
Absolutely not.
Was The Acts of the Apostles worth the listening time?
He ruined a beautiful book. I had to turn it off knowing he took such beautiful writings and read them with so little passion.
Any additional comments?
Barbara Caruso has a few narrations that are much better

the acts with protestant dubious conclusions
the performance was enthusiastic but highly prejudicial. That kind of conclusion belongs in a protestant church and not in a book that supposedly is of holy writ.
