A fantastic edition to the Overlord series. I’m aware that many more of the Overlord books are already available in print, but these audiobook versions are definitely worth the wait. I’ve been looking forward to book 8 in audio for months now, and Chris Guerrero’s narration made that wait absolutely worth it. His exemplary voice acting made this edition in particular feel so full of life, humour and personality.

Though this book mainly revolved around side stories rather than a direct continuation of the main storyline, I thought it was such a valuable addition because of the detail, background and world building it offered. I already loved this series, but this book and Chris’ narration made me love these characters even more - with their strengths, flaws and individual personalities really shining through in this book.

Would highly recommend to any lover of the Overlord series, even if you’d read the print version already.
