I adored this book! I'm sad to have finished it and so glad I chose it in audio form. I needed a break between heavy reads and this was wonderful, while still dealing with some heavy content. The narration was brilliant, her accents added so much to a dialogue heavy story. Ripe for a screen adaptation.

Such a fun story. And while Bea does get a little repetitive on the insecurity front throughout the story there is definitely a lovely character arc as she navigates the hellish world of reality tv dating shows. A fun way to spend some hours!

As a plus-size woman, I was worried about what this book would be about. But I really resonated with so many of the feelings and ideas brought up. The shame and hatred for women like me are intense, even the inner thoughts of how the world looks like people like me.

Finding love as a plus-size woman was a very relatable plot point. The idea of setting the story in a romance reality show was even better. Honestly, I don't watch The Batchelor, Married at First Sight, or any other of that kind of shows. However, this view makes me feel represented and heard. As a plus-size woman, I have never felt that I would be even considered a glamorous show like that.

There are so many hilarious quotes in this book. It’s great.

I read this book to complete May's #readingwithmuffy reading prompt. However, I would recommend this to everyone anyway, especially those struggling with body image.

Some parts of the story were a bit drawn out, but a solid 3.5 read.
I loved the narration and have looked for other books by Kristen Sieh.
#squeezmaniacs, camel guides, the brothers and Gwen & Linus bumped up my rating.

I have tried and tried to listen to this and I can’t help but feel the author is so much on social media that she has no idea how to write an actual book. I can not handle listening to time stamps of text messages or email, #’s or user names. I want an actual story and not social media posts, if I wanted that I would go to social media.

If you can’t handle this style of writing I would avoid this book.

Can’t do it. Can’t make myself listen to it.
