Story
THE TWAT FILES are my stories of the times when I've been a total, utter twat. Time and time again, I've been a massive eejit. But the more I think about it, the more I understand that the moments where I've made mistakes, misunderstood stuff and messed up are key. That's where all my learning happens and where I laugh the most. Being a twat is universal and my twatishness is no different to yours. Except perhaps, that mine has been horrifyingly public on occasion.

This is the memoir music fans have been waiting for. Half of one of the greatest creative partnerships in popular music, Bernie Taupin is the man who wrote the lyrics for Elton John, who conceived the ideas that spawned countless hits, and sold millions and millions of records. Together, they were a duo, a unit, an immovable object. Their extraordinary, half-century-and-counting creative relationship has been chronicled in biopics and memoirs, but Taupin, a famously private person, has kept his own account of their adventures close to his chest, until now.

Grandmother to the neglected
Miriam is an international treasure, not just national. if you don't enjoy her presence on page, screen big or small, then you are an uptight cunt.
Honesty & Genuine personality and character such as hers is rare but should not be.
As a neglected child of conservative parents she's the grandmother I wish i had with a view in most ways I wish I could possess.

Borrow rather than Buy
Most of this new audio recording is a rehashing of what Miriam Margolyes related in her excellent autobiography, This Much Is True. There are some tidbits in Oh Miriam that are amusing and fun, narrated with the style and panache that only MM can achieve. But overall let's call this new offering what it is, an attempt by the publisher to make more money from a wonderfully successful first hit. Miriam Margolyes herself calls this book "the sinker". If someone is going to throw money at you for snippets of life stories, it would be foolish to say no, especially since Ms Margolyes has already told us a good deal about herself. I can hear the publishers saying something to the effect: Miriam we need something NEW - give us something new so that we can offer this up as a legitimate followup to This Much Is True and sell it as such. The narrative of the Vogue shoot is amusing, and Ms Margolyes also does something of a Q&A drawn from the many inquiries generated by This Much Is True, which corroborates that she has been an inspiration to her readers and young aspiring actors. Having been in an industry known for not being kind to women, and being cruel to women who are not classically beautiful, Ms. Margolyes is an ebullient survivor and truly should be celebrated for her joy and achievements. But in effort to inject the "new" into this new book, Ms. Margolyes relates less inspirational, and totally unnecessary narratives of her nasal exploration, and a bowel/bathroom experience. (This is the 2nd recent autobiography by a Brit with a bowel/bathroom story - if British plumbing is that bad, Brexit is not the U.K.'s only problem.) What I would like to say to Ms Margolyes is you are an intelligent decent, compassionate person, and a brilliant actor - this comes through in your work. You are enough. No need to embellish with the sensational, or try to appeal with the lowest common denominator. Because Ms. Margolyes has been honest with her audience, as a reader I will be honest in this review - it's not worth audible points, or paying for this edition. But there are edifying moments in "Oh Miriam", and for that reason, if you are a Miriam Margolyes fan, as I am, borrow the book/audiobook from the library. Oh Miriam is not a book to buy, but This Much Is True is.

Miriam’s anecdotes.
Miriam, Love or hate her but this is another great book.
Her straight up, truthful, if sometimes outrageously rude anecdotes of life are just marvellous.
The way Miriam writes and narrates is as though she is sitting having a chat over a cuppa with you and I laughed and cried with her.
I didn’t think Miriam would be able to surpass the first book but thank you Miriam, I have thoroughly enjoyed your second book and can highly recommend both books,

Another Brilliant Story!
Love a good Miriam Margolyes audio book. It always feels like your granny is right next to you and sharing her whole life story.
