Publisher's Summary

A sexy, emotional, heart-stopping romance novel from number one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely with all new narration from Joe Arden and Andi Arndt!

Ten years ago, I let the love of my life slip through my fingers. It’s my greatest regret, especially since she’s all but disappeared. When she walks back into my world unexpectedly, I have one mission - win her back. Whatever it takes.

But the gorgeous, brilliant, tough-as-iron Shannon has secrets of her own, and a family past she’s trying to escape.

Slowly but surely, I break down her walls over our sinful nights together, with a connection more passionate than ever, an intimacy more fiery than it was before.

But the past can only stay behind you for so long. And when the people who want a piece of her family start circling her, I’ll have to prove I’m the man to protect her from her suddenly dangerous present.

Wow

Loved this book of second chances. Who would think that just a few wrong conclusions could keep them apart for 10 years. But their love was just as strong when they meet again.
Love a story with supporting family members.
Narration was awesome too.

Not one of Lauren’s best

I found this book rushed and a bit boring, I’d assume the story about her mum will make more sense in the next book, but I won’t continue the series.

This new re-imagined series is just another thing for me to love by Lauren Blakely. I don't like insta-love so I love that this story is about reunited love. I love that we get a glimps of before and can feel how much they loved each other before and it is so easy to see them falling in love again. I love how confident and bossy Brent is and how protected but still confident Shannon is. These two are a great reminder to everyone that sometimes people can change. I also like how the main story line will continue onto book 2 even if the main characters change. I liked this look before but I like the new version so much more. I always love a 1st person POV so I was sold on re-listening when I saw this was coming out.

The narrator is great!! In my review for the first version of this book I said it needed to be dual narrated and in this version that's what I got and so much more. I love that we not only get a dual narration by Andi & Joe, we also get a few other POV chapters by other great narrators which will be main narrators in future books. This is my favorite kind of narration, because everyone gets their own voice.

My Thoughts on My Sinful Nights

5 of 5 stars

I hadn't previously read the first version of this series but I'm certainly happy I get to experience it this time. I really enjoyed what I just finished.

Brent was kind of impossible not to love. Even with the way things happened in the past, I couldn't blame him or dislike him. It just felt like a case of bad timing.

Shannon/Shay as well was easy to like even if there were moments I wanted to shake her for jumping to conclusions. I really felt like the love between these two characters was clear. It just took them a decade to get on the same page.

I also loved that while they were apart they both did things for themselves instead of being frozen in place because of their heartbreak. They really grew during that time and I think it made them more ready for each other the second time around.

I loved the mystery that was thrown into this story as well as the family dynamics too. I look forward to reading more about this family soon.

The narration on this was everything I hoped for and more. I love Joe Arden and Andi Arndt. They never disappoint. But I also really enjoyed the multi cast addition with other favorite narrators playing some of the side characters in their POV chapters.

My Sinful Nights

Not going to lie I wasn’t sure when the first chapter happened I thought oh no not my favorite story line. But I should have known better with Lauren Blakely she never does what I would expect.

I loved the second chance at epic love because that is exactly what this story is about. Healing and epic love. How you learn from the past and how you move forward even if the past is painful.

Brent and Shannon didn’t instantly move on it took time and for them both to show the other that they were willing to put the work into their new relationship. I really loved the relationship Shannon has with her brothers, and her grandmother. It makes for full and hearty story. I can’t wait to keep listening.

The narrators were great, I loved that each character had their own voices. Gives that extra something to the story. It really is special to get a new voice for each character.

Multi Cast Deliciousness

A retelling of her original book, lots of new material.
Brent and Shannon - pulled apart by miscommunication, distance, and misplaced priorities 10 years ago.
They meet back up through business, and old wounds are healed.
With an undercurrent of danger from her father's murder, there are mysteries that will be revealed over the next books.
The narration was Excellent- Joe Arden and Andi Arndt with the main characters, and some great cameos sprinkled through the book from Maxine Mitchell, Tim Paige, & Teddy Hamilton, and a surprise appearance from Sebastian York in the epilogue as Michael. Recommend series!

A SWEET & SLOW-BURNING SECOND-CHANCE

What I love most about a Lauren Blakely book is that you know exactly what you’re going to get - a romance that’ll be full of feels, that the romance will have emotional layers and that the storyline will include a wealth of interesting secondary characters. And Shannon and Brent’s ten year second chance had everything I was hoping for as they slowly put a costly misunderstanding behind them, revealed a heartbreaking secret and healed their damaged love. Because they had to reveal, heal and open up.. they had to learn to trust and lean on each other.. and they had to unite, let go of the past and finally move forward together. However that wasn’t easy when Brent had such a charmed life compared to Shannon whose Mom was wearing an orange jumpsuit for the rest of her life for orchestrating the brutal murder of her Dad. A life-changing crime that still haunts Shannon and her brothers.. but one her Mom has always denied - and that secondary roll-over plot continues to build through this series.

Worth a credit? This five-part series set in Las Vegas is off to a great start with Joe and Andi epically narrating a well-balanced dual POV storyline with a touch of mystery, sweet sentiments, sexy times, chemistry, romance and passion.. and yes it would’ve been creditworthy - but YAYE it’s offered absolutely free to Audible Escape members :)

Second chances!

Unlike her romcoms, Lauren Blakely's My Sinful Nights is a heartfelt start to her newly reworked Sinful Men series. 10 years have gone by, and Brent is still in love with Shannon. Things had gone all wrong. But now, a chance to work through the misunderstandings and problems that occurred, and he will not let it pass by. Shannon is not interested in a second chance. Or is she? There is so much that has happened, so much that has gone unsaid and just smoldered for years that if she lets it out, it will not be good. Brent is relentless though and we can only hope that he can win her over. Lauren Blakely has given this story a refreshing update, it's own second chance if you will and come up with a winner. Her characters always intrigue me. We have Brent who is impossible not to love. And we have Shannon who is full of misconceptions and misunderstandings. I love the way these two interact, adding their little gifts to the mix, showing just what a small gesture can mean. It's a great start to the series, with a little crazy family interaction, a little mystery and a lot of love.

Add in Blakely's uncanny ability to cast her characters, and we have a winner. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are always phenomenal. They can easily match their characters' personalities and make them seem real. Then we add in the guests, like Maxine Mitchell, Samantha Cook and Teddy Hamilton and it's like coming to a party with all our favorites!

Live with Love

Overall 4 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 3-3.5 stars

I'm such a sucker for second chance romances and this one really hit me in the feels. It's always hard to balance the separation and reunion in second chance romances and Lauren Blakely did it wonderfully for Brent and Shannon. Yes, the initial misunderstanding was a bit over the top, but it was really only the straw that broke the camel's back. At that point in their lives, they just weren't emotionally ready and mature enough to make things work long term. I appreciated that even though mistakes were made, they tried to prevent them from happening again and to show the other that they were all in this time around. The overall pacing of the story was a little slow, but I'm excited to learn more about the secondary characters, especially Mindy and the Sloan siblings. I really enjoyed the bit of suspense too regarding Shannon's parents and their tragic history. It will be interesting to see it all play out in the series.

The narration by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt was wonderful and they did a fantastic job bringing Brent and Shannon to life. The additional cameos by Teddy Hamilton, Sebastian York, Maxine Mitchell, Samantha Cooke, and Tim Paige were such a treat. No one does audio better than Lauren Blakely! I'm excited to listen to Ryan's story next.

Breathtakingly well written, and beautiful!

This is the first book in the Sinful Men Series. My Sinful Nights is breathtakingly well written, and beautiful. I loved it! This is one of the best second chance to love I have listened to. Shannon and Brent's story is beautiful. They are meant to be together. The story is filled with misunderstandings, lack of communication, secrets, and mystery. The wonderful narration brings this story to life with all the feels. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are perfect as Shannon and Brent. The amazing and intriguing supporting characters are narrated by a full cast of wonderful narrators: Teddy Hamilton (Ryan), Sebastien York (Michael), Samantha Cook (Mindy), and Maxine Mitchell (Dora Prince), Tim Paige (the guy outside the building). I highly recommend you this suspenseful and addictive Series. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, My Sinful Desire.

Loved the rewrite

My Sinful Nights is a reimagining of Sweet Sinful Nights, and wow, the rewrite is really great! Classic Lauren Blakely in terms of witty banter, steamy interactions and great character development and relationship development, with the added kick suspense that develops throughout the entire series of books.

Brent and Shannon broke each others' hearts 10 years ago, and then Shannon seemed to just disappear, so Brent never had the chance to try to resolve their issues. You can say that they broke up over something that could have been solved with communication, but honestly, they were not mature enough to think things through and have the perspective that they would have needed to make it work. But they are fully ready to grab this second chance by the horns now that it has unexpectedly presented itself.

I read the book and listened to the audio. I like to read the book first to experience just the story, and then if I like the book, I listen to the audio to get the more emotional experience that narration brings. I was thoroughly satisfied with both the read and the listen. The narration by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt was spot on and really enhanced the story.

Loved this Second Chance Romance!

This second chance romance is a fabulous start to Lauren Blakely's re-imagined Sinful Men series! She captured me with this sweet, sexy, and emotional story from the very first page and never let go. She created 2 very passionate characters from 2 very different worlds who couldn't get enough of each other. When youth, ambition, distance, and a misunderstanding get in the way, they break apart and go their separate ways. Then when life brings them back together 10 years later, they can't deny their love that never died. This time they are older, wiser, and have successful careers, but can they overcome their hurt feelings and pride to start over fresh? Brent Nichols has always regretted not fighting harder for the love of his life, and now that they are working together he will do whatever it takes to prove to her that he is not the same man he was 10 years ago. Shannon Paige-Prince has suffered several heartbreaking events in her life and has built walls to protect herself. She does not want to risk the devastation she endured the last time she lost Brent. But Brent has always been her light in a world that has brought her so much darkness and she needed him to fill the sad places inside her with his light. Brent is sexy, funny, caring and tender but also exquisitely commanding. Shannon is strong, intelligent, kind and loves to give as much as she gets. Together with their fiery passion and combustible chemistry they begin the exploration of who they are now, but is it enough? I love that both Brent and Shannon are not angsty but more mature and approach their opinions and actions accordingly. They are honest and genuine and I found them to be charming, fun and very believable. I fell in love with all of Shannon's family and look forward to reading more about her intriguing brothers. The other secondary characters were wonderful as well and add so much depth along with a bit of mystery and suspense to this story.
I loved the narration by Joe Arden, Andi Arndt. They easily bring out the nuances of each character with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartbreaking emotion, and sizzling passion. They work so well togetheras they bring this sweet, sexy, and emotional story to life. I also loved the wonderful cameos throughout the book from Maxine Mitchell, Tim Paige, Teddy Hamilton, and Sebastian York!
This is a 4 book series that follows different couples but also has a longer story line that has me hooked already. I can't wait for book #2!

I love a second chance story

A second chance romance, sign me up!!

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt pull it out of the bag again with their excellent narration, and they brought the characters to life.

This is another revamped story by the author, and she is certainly doing the 'vamping' for this one.

5 Balls to the Walls Stars

One word. Perfection. That’s it. After listening to, and not particularly enjoying Sweet Sinful Nights, I was overjoyed to see that this reimagining of the story has encompassed the changes that I criticised in the previous version. Understand? I completely understand if you don’t. I have a penitence for complicating things. Apologies for that. Enough of my ramblings. At the end of the day. This audio was perfect, I adored the writing, the characters, and most definitely the story. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to little listen to this new version, because, Joe Arden! Enough said! Oh, and yes Andi Arndt (maybe, just maybe, I’m a little jealous) Enough said. Anyway, know that if you’re a fan of Lauren Blakeley (just so you know, I am), then you will love this second chance romance featuring sexy, sweet and oh so humble Brent Nichols, who it seems is willing to take responsibility for every one of his actions 10 years ago. He’s well aware that if he wants his girl back, he’s going to have to work for it. Add into the mix the murder committed 18 years previously, and we’ve got a sense of danger in the mix. Absolutely wonderful characters, a great story, and of course perfect writing, and narration. What a truly wonderful, entertaining and totally addictive second chance romance. I truly loved it.

this is just a repeat of the same books

there is nothing different about these book to the older version except there a couple bit are read by a different person that's it that's all that different what a waste of time and money for both the authorities and the people listen to it you can do so much better I no you can so disappointed
