Story
Ask the great poker players how they'd play a hand and the answer is always "it depends." That answer can be infuriating. But guess what? It really does depend. The key to becoming a great poker player is in knowing what it depends on. At last there's a book that gives you that answer. Poker is a game of so many variables; table position, flop texture, the number of players in a hand, the personalities of your opponents, and so much more.

All about Quality Decisions
- By Anonymous User on 09-05-2019
Publisher's Summary
Now a major motion picture.
Molly Bloom reveals how she built one of the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker games in the world - an insider's story of excess and danger, glamour and greed.
Molly Bloom formed the most elite high-stakes poker game Hollywood had ever seen - she was its mistress, its lion tamer, its agent and its oxygen. Everyone wanted in; few were invited to the table.
In the late 2000s, Molly Bloom, a 20-something petite brunette from Loveland, Colorado, ran the highest stakes, most exclusive poker game in existence. Hundreds of millions of dollars were won and lost at her table. Molly's game became the game for those in the know - celebrities, business moguls and millionaires. Molly staged her games in palatial suites with beautiful views and exquisite amenities. She flew privately, dined at exquisite restaurants, hobnobbed with the heads of Hollywood studios, was courted by handsome leading men and was privy to the world's most delicious gossip - until it all came crashing down around her and she lost everything.
Molly's Game is a behind-the-scenes look at Molly's game, the life she created, the life she lost and what she learned in the process.

She is ballsy if a little naive
Molly is not a character you willl fallin love with but she is interesting. Cassandra Campbell does a great reading, adding depth and feeling to the story. The author talks about how in love she felt with a number of her boyfriends, but it just seems like words. Maybe these descriptions are circumspect to protect her own privacy. This seems strange however considering all the other details she goes into. It is still worth a listen if you plan on seeing the movie.

Great story, but not the whole story.
Enjoyed the book and performance, but there were a couple of holes in the storyline, such as the disappearing father, no reaction from Molly’s family about the charges against her, her drug use, and the more specific charges to which she pleaded guilty and those that were dropped and under what circumstances they were dropped. Other than that, highly recommend the book.

she certainly was honest and the insight into la's more seedy side was interesting and repugnant however she seems like a decent enough person and her story about grace was genuine, she got her head turned by illusion and has not really learned anything but it was a enjoyable book , best of luck molly you are a capable woman

I have not counted the powerpoints but it looks like more than six which is quite a few for anything the positives follow some negatives there are more than two games in the role which hit off each other something about downhill and the qwerk which is finding your in a game of some such seriously mind boggling never compared before the cliche ..it's gonna snap

Enjoyed the film; loved the book!
I came across the film on Prime Video and was pleasantly surprised how much the film stuck in my mind. A while later I saw the book was available on Audible I couldn't resist adding it to my virtual shelf for my daily commute. Running at eight and a half hours, the book obviously has a lot more time to tell the story than the film but those hours flew by. The narrator does an excellent job and is very easy to listen too and sounds not too dissimilar to Jessica Chastain, which is no bad thing.
